Open it and get to the vaping .....lol...all leaks and issues...are all valid....I met with my vape mentor today...and we are going to take the leap and solder my tank....lol...he has the same black one and it works fine on all mods.....but mine won't even work on his.....like I said it's a leap.... hopefully (fingers crossed) it should sort out my conductivity issue....will update our experiences... In summary there are some bad batches in circulation....and I was unfortunate to get one....to add ...where am at returning isn't an option. It works or it's dead and I move on....to the next great tin out there.

It's been pretty much flooded all day today. Luckily, I was planning on doing a fresh wick with a new juice I got today. But that flooded too. Hopefully, I can just vape it dry and it'll be normal.

Edit: Oh and thanks again to whoever told me which grub screws to get. I've had them for over a week and I finally put them in today. Much more pleasant to work with.

I fell asleep with the tank laying on the bed last night
i was sure when i woke up there would be a puddle of
juice where is was laying on its side
to my surprise not a drop was spilled was still at the same line
from last night.
i must have got one from the good batch from slowtech.
only issue i noticed was slight condensation on the top of
the mod after a couple of days vaping not even enough
to consider it seepage

So you are seriously going to put lead solder in your base where it can get wet with juice/condensation and is in the path of airflow?

Dude, you might as well go back to smoking as it would be safer...

Really?

I thought it was common knowledge just how dangerous lead is. That's why it has been removed from gasoline, paint, soldered food cans etc. You can't do any plumbing with lead solder anymore.

Symptoms and causes - Mayo Clinic

I knew about the paint but honestly I wasn't aware that lead is no longer used for anything.

Easy fix for the lead issue, get some silver solder or silver wire and flux, make sure to clean the flux off after, and do a good job of it. Is also lead free solder, but I'd personally go with silver.
Silver solder would work perfectly, never even thought about that. The only concern now would be amount of heat required to get a good braze. That might wreak havoc on the o-rings under the JFC ring.

In truth you actually have to specifically search to buy leaded solder nowadays, most of the industry has moved away from it due to the potential risks, it is still available, but not common as it once was. Only reason it is still available is because it produces better joints and is far less prone to cold joints, not to mention stronger and more pliable then the non-leaded options.

I've got a half dozen Kester "44" 1lb rolls in the shop, had them for years so I've got a lifetime supply... ;)

Never tried any lead-free soldering.

I wish I knew how to tame this tank because the vape experience is very good. If I can keep it from flooding then everything is flawless. But once it floods then it's game over. Even if the flooding can be cleaned up, it still seeps a little from where the tank attaches to the base. Not a huge deal but it's annoying to see those teeny tiny drops.

Time for a comparison! I recently purchased an Ijoy Exo. I'm running it in single coil setup. So naturally I feel the need to compare it to my Nano. Both tanks are single coil, my first ever self made fused clapton coils. 3mm id, 26ga fused cores, 36ga clapton wrap, SS316L for both, and both around .2 ohms. Both firing at 50w on my Smok Alien, both tanks filled with a peach yogurt juice I mixed up. Let me start by saying the juice is delicious out of both tanks. I don't want to admit it, because I love the Nano, but I'm getting better flavor out of the Exo. Here's where things get confusing and you make your own judgments and decisions if you are torn between the two RTAs. The flavor difference is noticeable, and in the Exo's favor. However, it's not leaps and bounds ahead of the Nano, just slightly better IMO. The Nano is a bit taller, but not bigger around. The Nano does hold over twice the juice of the Exo, in shorty configuration, but just .8ml more than the Nano in taller configuration. (I told you it was confusing) [emoji23] The Exo in taller/6ml configuration is taller than the Nano by maybe 2mm. The juice flow control on the Exo is a bit loose spinning, and it's a new thing to me, I'm not sure I'm a fan of it. Ease of building between the two RTAs is close, but the Nano wins on ease of building and ease of use. Less stuff to get wrong and possibly ruin your vape experience and need to rebuild. That being said, I had no issues building either one, both are wicking well, and working well. The Exo just has more moving parts, and a bit more of a learning curve to it. The Exo hasn't leaked as of yet, but it is a bottom airflow, and I feel a bit more likely to than the Nano. I believe that the Exo just took the place of my Baby Beast as my secondary tank. Only time will tell if it passes my Nano as my primary tank. I hope this comparison was helpful, informative, and not too long. If anyone has any questions about the two or wants anything else compared between these two just ask.

@Drewbacca96 that's a good objective comparison. I've also had similar experiences with the flavor in both tanks as well as the Merlin RTA. I'm not sure which tank has the best flavor. They're all good enough for me.

Right now the Nano is my number 1 because I can wick it consistently without any messy problems. I do prefer the looks, juice consumption, & the way the EXO RTA vapes more than the Nano though.

I just started using a tank a few days ago that I think would be great for people who like the engines. It has all the pros. Leak proof, easy to wick etc but much better flavor. It's internal side airflow. The top airflow tanks to me just don't handle big builds and mute flavors. The engine is like my least favorite rta I own so I never got a nano. The tank I'm using is the blitz warcraft.
