Hey, looking for some general info and tips on the ikv 510 cannon atty. I did get a 801 drip tip with it, and it looks awesome that the opening is huge, no problem dripping through this tip.
So whats the deal with these? I usually use bridgeless 510s, what differences are there? Amount of juice to drip each time, and to start it off? Also and hints or tips.
Thanks,
Dave

Ok so I started using my 510 cannon atty, 1.8ohm on my provari mini at 4v. I am getting some bad taste from it, I have put plenty of juice in it, there is a gurgle when you pull on it. Is there something special you need to do with these or do I need to just get through it to break it in a little? I mean it works but tastes pretty weird, not like a dry taste but idk how to describe it.

Just tried my first i06. I always have my packages sent to work (to ensure I actually get them), but was on vacation all week. Didn't get near work to pickup the package until today.

Assuming there was some PG or primer in it, I blew it out from the threaded end then put it on my Vmod XL. Put about 8-10 drops down inside then turned it upside down and gave it a good squonk. Turned it back right side up and gave it a couple more squonks to hear that nice wet gurgly sound to be sure it was good and wet.

Went to vape on it a couple times and it really tasted bad. I assumed it was some sort of primer I'd have to work passed and kept going. I did peek into the drip tip hole and that thing was really glowing brightly!

A couple more attempted vapes, then nothing. Not even a sizzle.

So I opened up the VMod to see if I was maybe having battery connection issues or something. That's when I noticed the battery was getting pretty hot.

I took the i06 out of the Vmod and put it on my Provari for an ohm check. It read LO (shorted).

Glad I had the sense to stop before the battery went into meltdown, but the i06 is unusable and I never even got the chance to verify all of the good things I've heard about them. :(

Phew - good call! Everyone that doesn't have an e.g. Provari, should have an ohm meter. Better still everyone should have a multi-meter.

Aside from that, I'm sure you'll have a good io6 soon enough, but's always a let down to have [shiny new vaping thing] go kaput.:(

Just made a mental note to always remember to check the ohms on any new atty/carto.

ETA: While we're on it: always a good idea to keep a close eye on the batts too! Check the charged and discharged voltages as regularly as you can and note your batteries run times, etc. Just make sure to learn about the safety basics of batteries if you haven't already.

ETAA: LOVE the vaping representative 'dummy'!

Unfortunately I only ordered the one i06 thinking it would last me at least a couple of weeks. Kind of a trial balloon if you will, to see if they're even half as good as most say. In which case I'd have happily ordered many more.

For now I'm just stuck with ones that came with the Vmod from Vapage. They seem to work OK but I see room for improvement. Especially in the area of flavor. An area where I've read the i06's are supposed to excel.

Haven't tried any 306's yet or any HH357's. I'm loving the mod and bottom feediing overall with some juices, but I've got to find something to deliver the flavor I want from the juices prefer.

I'll can tell you from experience that the i06 works great on the vmod but the drip tip doesn't let air flow to the atty. You will have to sand the drip tip down and keep testing the fit in the vmod. I always have noticed a different taste from my juice in bottom feeding mods not a bad taste but a different taste from dripping. As for Issac not responding he is super busy right now and this is not normal practice, he is normally right on top of all customer service. The best way to get him is through e-mail or calling the shop but I'm not sure if the number has change with the move. If you need an e-mail pm me.

Hello Isaac.

I received an order (# 188) of 5 IKV io6 XLR Atomizer 1.5Ω. Four of them are fine, but one of them has an unacceptably tight draw (I always test the draw before I use them). I would like to exchange the faulty one. Please advise.

Thank you,
Lou
Gotcha covered Lou! It was very nice talking with you :)

Absolutely Dave, It sounds we flooded it a bit. lets give a good restart by simply blowing everything out of course with a paper towel on the other end  dd about 4-5 drops and let it sit for a minute, take a couple pulls, then add two more. At this stage it should be pretty airy. Now for basic use after this initial routine, just add 4 drops while the unit is turned 90 degrees. After about a day of use, the liquid will start to cause a build up, tightening the draw and increasing the feel (TH) You never want a deep gargling sound, the lighter the better for smoothness.

I was wondering the same thing.
Working on it Iron. :)The SSL was giving us a few issues as we originally purchased it from our hosting company, Since our business address changed..It was just getting very difficult So we used Volusion's software to give us the security we needed. At this point the bank is excessively pressuring us to have an age verification platform on the site. Which is the last piece of the puzzle. This software is real. It uses the user's age, address and name to scan directories to prove the user is of the appropriated age. Personally I think it's harsh and brash, but the bank stated if we don't have this software, we get shut down basically.

Glowing brightly is always an unhealthy sign of an atty (of the io6 at least) It's strange, but the users who always blow them out initially always runs into a problem. I can't pinpoint the exact reason why but it never seems to fail. As a note, the way PG works with the human body is volume. The small amount that is used to primer an atomizer (the only purpose is to keep it from being bone dry) is relatively harmless to our anatomy and with added liquid, it'gets even more diluted. Please shoot over an email and we'll take care of it in a heartbeat. Definitely heed Wolcen up there. Battery safety is also an extremely crucial role in this vaping world. Ugh I know how those stock atties go. I use a vmod also. actually the entire day I have been on mine. I just can't deal with their atties. The ideas and potential is there but that smooth nice feel. For a nice tip with the unit, if you unscrew the aluminum to the last few threads, then carefully thread on the cone, you can achieve a loose draw or vice verse to tighten the draw. In a sense, it's an involuntary adjustable draw. ;)

Anyone know how to contact Isaac? I have been trying for a LONG time to get a hold of him about 2 suspect I06s and never heard back. I have sent emails and PMs and no response. It's been awhile. Too long. I will most likely chalk this up as a loss and move on. Too bad, I keep biting my "tongue" not to post in the negative review section.

Thanks Iken, why dropping into the atty at 90 degrees? So it gets down to the coil and not on the bridge?
I have been using it for a little while, and like you said it is airy, but the flavor is also kinda dull. I'm assuming I just need to break it in some more.
What about pulling the bridge out? Has it been done, and how does that work out?
Thanks again,
Dave

Not recommended and one of the largest myths propagated on ECF. Your wick "is" the SS mesh.

Yes sir Dave! You got it! Bypassing the bridge and hitting the mesh that surrounds the coil is where you want to be at. The mesh travels about 10mm from the bottom half way through the bottom half of the atty case. This is where the bulk of liquid resides and with your own suction, it draws the liquid to seep into the pot where the wick soaks it up and distributes to the coil. You don't want to de-bridge the atom. 1. even pulling it out softly, you can disrupt a few parts making them loose and unstable. 2 this leaves the coil wide open without protection. If your exercising the unit, the weight of a few drops time after time in the heat up period will heavily weaken it.

I'd be happy to shoot over an email, but I don't know where to send it. I assume if the site were up that the info would be available online, but until then I don't have any contact info.

Thanks man!!

Edit: If it helps any my order # was 146. As you'll see it was my first time order and I only ordered the one atty.

"Your order number is 146, placed 06/20/2012 at 10:24PM" (from the confirmation)

Use sales @ ikenvape.com

I sent and received emails to/from Isaac with it.
