Hey, I just got my hands on a .308 mod from jrcustomturnings, and its 801 threaded. I could use an adapter to use a 510 on it, but the brass bullet drip tip is 801 sized. On the IKV site, this atty- IKV 801 XLR Mini Atomizer 1.5Ω, in the description says something about the drip tip size. Is this an 801 size drip tip? The mod can only hold one battery, so I want the lowest resistance I can get. Just want to make sure I will be able to use the brass drip tip.

That one uses the 901 or 510 drip tip. Have Switcher make you a 901 drip tip for it. He has the way and means to do it.

dDub, yes it is. The 308 is made for the ikv 801 mini atty and the brass DT fits the 801.

But the 1.5ohm looks to be different than the others... It looks like the 1.8ohm is a normal 801, but I want to be sure cuz I want to use the brass dt, of course. So which ones can I get, only 1.8ohm and up? The 1.5ohm is 'XLR', where the others don't say that.

XLR 1.5Ω ~ eXtra Low Resistance

The one I got tapers down to a 901 size and won't work with 801 drip tips but it is from a long time ago.

This is from the Ikenvape site on the XLR 1.5Ω

But I only have the one and Wharf probably has them and should know. Plus I don't have a 308. Sorry if I mis-informed you. I was just going by the one I have and what it says in the description.

They all look to taper down, so I'm very confused haha. So where can I get an 801 atty that takes an 801 dt? Lol that's ridiculous, I'm about to just get an adapter and use my 510s on it. Too bad, I think the brass bullet drip tip really makes it. Kinda pointless without it, actually.

Is that his ecf name, switched? I was looking for an email addy on jrcustomturnings but it brings up outlook setup, and I don't use outlook. I want to see about the atty, and what battery this 308 takes, if its even a real 308. It fires with 16340s and 18350s but the bottom doesn't screw on all the way... maybe it takes a flat top? In the vid I saw about him demoing the 308 or 50cal or similar he said there is a mark of authenticity on the mod somewhere, and I can't find anything on mine!

It looks like the 3.5Ω is like the way they used to be. But it looks like all other Ω's are Cannon like, with the 801 body and a 510 opening. If that's the case, I don't think it would work with your DT. Bummer !!!

Problem..

Just got my brand new 510 2.2Ω Diamond cartos and they taste great!

The problem: When I put them in a tank they won't accept any juice. I am triple punching them and have used 60/40 and 70/30 PG/VG as well as 100% VG juices, and they all run dry. I have been using Boges for some time and never had a problem. What am I doing wrong???

I believe they are horizontal coil cartos so maybe I'm punching too high, too low? I don't wanna keep wasting them trying to get it right, these things aren't super cheap. Any advice??

By they way, that's just a standard J Tank.

I use them in a tank with no problems but I use 100% PG and triple punch them and I use the M1A1 tank.

Are your punches in the area as mine? What do you use to punch?

My punches are a little less than half way up, same height as the fusion punch has theirs. I use a very pointed awl and hammer. Use to use my Dremel but that was too much bother.

I got a 510 cannon a while back that takes 801 drip tips, but they fit very tight. The bullet tip is just a tad too big to fit into it, and not to mention that I didn't really like the atty. I PMed switcher, and he told me it takes the IKV 801s. So idk now, the whole look of the mod is the only reason I bought it. Maybe I'll see if he can make me a 510 sized delrin bullet tip to use. I had a whole bunch of stuff I was going to order from him last night, until I saw the shipping cost! I forgot he is in Canada... kinda funny too cuz I could drive to canada in 5 mins. He also told me that all units are tested with AW IMR 18350s and close all the way, so I can't figure why mine won't screw closed all the way.
