How much are people priming their Platinum Cartos? I got 5 xl's and despite priming one well beyond what I've done to any other carto ever they are both burning not vaping. And it's in a tank. I've tried enlarging one of the holes but they're burning from the start. It's like the filler is wrapped so tight nothing's getting down there.

That is certainly not good. I can't say unheard of, I believe i have heard of one instance this happened in. They are Both experiencing the exact same behavior? What is the voltage being applied and do you know which resistance you ordered?
I've tried a bunch of different volts from high 3's to high 4's. Anything in the 3's no vapor. Around the mid 4's seems what it should be but with the issue mentioned. They're the standard resistance and yes both had issues burning. Thanks for the response. I even condom filled one to the point it was soaking wet and after like 5 puffs it was burning while in a tank with an enlarged hole and I could look in the hole and see it glowing orange big time in there.
I just tried a 3rd one and so far it's working fine. But it's early. Again condom filled then tested about 10 hits and seems OK and then placed in a spare tank. Just might have had a few duds. This one looks different as the juice isn't just pooling ontop when I drip it in the filler from the top, it soaks in. The first two the juice just pooled.
Ok if a 3rd one does exhibit this behavior, there has to be another area we should look into like the connection. Duds are extremely rare as it is especially with these cartomizers. Standard 2.5s should be running perfectly smooth at the 6V area in tanks. Bright orange is typically an indicator of a bad connection, bad battery, or faulty connection in the carto. Shoot me an email so we can take care of the ones in question.

Let me ask you. I enlarged the hole on both of these as I've done to every other tank carto ever. Obivously this is the first time trying yours. My thought is since these are a little different that perhaps I damaged them enlarging the hole. The 3rd one so far is fine and I did not enlarge the holes. I use a Tapcon and hammer to enlarge holes and it does dimple the area around the hole slightly. I'm not trying to get free cartos or a return or anything just trying to figure it out going forward since these have had good reviews elsewhere.
I filled another new one without enlarging the holes. I consider this a non-issue now (read: a me issue). The 4th one works fine too. I think when I enlarged the hole I either damaged the wiring or more likely crimped the filler material near the coil and was causing dry burns.
I'd love to know if anyone else has been able to enlarge the holes with a "nail" without issues though.

I just ordered a few of the punched 2.5 Plats (regular length) to see how they work with my juices. I normally vape 50/50 or 60vg/40pg in my tanks.
I also put a hole on each side of my cartos. I then do a bottom fill and let the juice soak in before I use - overnight if possible.

I know, that's why I only got 3 of them.
I normally just get the std Plats and punch my own holes. I have no problems that way but was curious about the punched ones. I saw where Isaac said that the punched work good with 70pg/30vg.No worries in the least lrage, I never assume someone is just going free stuff. All questions asked is just basic process of elimination. You did help by adding a question of modification when exhibiting odd behaviors that's typically for a 306 troubleshooting
no but seriously, I think you hit the nail on the head or more or less the carto Sashwa's link down there is a real good one and very affordable. I know COV has a different style for around the 40 mark. I thinking your original routine didn't work with our equipment is because ours is 95% custom made, save for the body and fitting. Impacting with a hammer is like whipping the carto into a bed of spikes, something is bound to come lose or hit the vertical coil and possibly the wiring. I your case, I think the coil is being repositioned.

The punch I came up with would probably work fine with platinums, I've used it with fusions since march.

First post in the thread describes the parts, a Lovejoy hub from drillspot and the right screw. Last page has a link to the vendor, sells the hub with, iirc, two screws. I use the second screw, the one coated with phosphate (it comes off doing test punches); the Amazon screw also works, i picked a few up to check.
Very simple to use. Tighten screw until it touches the carto, then two full turns (720 degrees) I use two holes on a fusion, perfectly consistent results. Still using the same screw, after about 90 cartos. I use a cheap wrench from exercise equipment, others turn the screw using their fingers.

I'm sorry, I've made a mistake in the order #2449 (49 -> 801 Fusion Cartomizers STD + 2 -> 801-510 Adapters). Mistakenly I selected the 510-808/901 Stealth over the 801 to 510 (Adapters).
I was hoping you could modify my order as I need the correct adapters to use the IKV 801 Fusion Cartomizers with my 510 batteries. It doesn't matter if they are not low profile ('Stealth').
Hopefully you guys see this message before shipping the order.

When i had seen your order,I had a feeling it wasn't right, so I added 2 510-801 adapters free of charge and included the 510-808/901 that you ordered just to be on the safe side. Besides, it can give you enough reason to try out an 808 or 901 atomizer some time
