Ikenvape io6 2.5 ohm atty burnt?

I got a question for you guys I got an io6 atomizer from Ikenvape and its 2.5 ohms it actually reads 2.3 ohms on the Provari and I am using it at 4.4 volts.
The first one I used lasted over a month but I just opened this one 3 days ago and have been using a dark vanilla cigar flavor from DIY flavor shack 80 PG 20 VG and all the sudden it has this really harsh throat burning taste and it won't go away.
I always kept enough juice in it when I was dripping so I can't figure out what happened?
Is this atomizer a dud or did I do something wrong

I had one get like that and after I blew it out,cleaned it with grain alcohol and blew it out again it was fantastic again.

I'm hoping I never encounter another one like that it was terrible but I think that atomizer was a dud.

I'm having the same problem. I have two io6 atty's in 3.5 ohms, tring to run them on a Provari at 5 volts. I followed the directions, with 4 drops, letting them sit for 30 seconds. Awful taste, added more drops, no better. Then found the guide mentioned above, tried blowing out the primer, and more drops on the bridge, still tastes awful. Not sure what's wrong. Have some new juices to try. So broke out the cartomizers again. Wish I could get these to work.

i just realized I responded to the wrong thread. This is my first time trying the io6, and it tastes bad.

I think I may be getting this figured out. Soaked the attys in vodka for about an hour. Then blew them out, started over at 5.8 volts. Seems a lot better.

I just wanted to say Valerie from Ikenvape went above and beyond with helping me out. She sent me two new atomizers, along with some of their own RY4 juice, and a detailed email to help me out. I have to say these new atomizers are working great and their juice is pretty tasty as well. It's hard to find customer service like this these days. They have more than earned my business, and I would definitely recommend them to anybody without hesitation.

Mrs. Ikenvape is a nice lady. They are both great people.

I sure hope they start selling the RY4 that he tweaked. It has to be the best juice I ever vaped. I love that juice as much as the Tobacco Gold. The 2 compliment each other.
