Over the past year, anyone who vaped the now extinct Dekang RY4 of yore has probably spent an inordinate amount of time and money trying to find a comparable match (I know I have). Theories of corporate espionage, abductions, alien visitations and RY4 recipes taken to the grave have abound, regardless, we've been without our beloved original RY4 recipe for far too long....

Until now.

Isaac over at Ikenvape has found my "unicorn". His new RY4 isn't just close, IT IS my beloved Dekang RY4 - but even better than I remember. I developed allergies to PG since stopping the Dekang awhile back, thank god Isaac crafted us a VG blend as well (70/30 VG/PG, but from someone who is extremely sensitive to PG, I've not had any issues with this blend). Let's get into specifics.

Flavor: straight up Dekang RY4, although it tastes a bit "cleaner", it's tough to put my finger on it. Think of the different between a a low end and high end Vodka. I am getting the nice Dekang tobacco base, with the perfect ratios of caramel and vanilla. The tobacco comes through very nicely and is not overpowered by the sweeter components.

Throat hit: a decent amount of throat hit. I am a TH junkie (I usually vape my lower TH juices at 5v+) and I get decent TH even at 3.7 (using an LR atty/carto, also from Ikenvape!). It's not overpowering or strong, but it satisfies.

Performance/Consistency: since switching to 100% VG liquids I've resigned myself to the the poor performance of honey-like consistency juices, not so with this RY4. Even though I am using the VG blend I am able to pass the ultimate juice test, the carto. I've been using the juice in Ikenvape's KR808 Mega LR carto and it's been performing perfectly. I've also used it on my Ali'i VV (bottom fed atty) and my GGTS/UFS (tank fed atty), all without issue. The consistency is a bit thicker than your standard PG, but no where near my usual VG juices.

All in all, I am very impressed, not just with the juice, but with the vendor as a whole. Isaac makes bar none the best atomizers and cartomizers on the market...and now the best RY4. Not to mention the best customer service in the biz. If you haven't already checked out Ikenvape, I would head over there and check out his wares.

I gotta bump this one, Ike is one cool dude, cares about the community, has the best of the best when it comes to carts and especially my beloved HV-510 Atty's, there on every PV I use now and bar none the BEST I've ever used. Cheers Ike man !

I tasted the RY4 he has made at the Philly VF, he slid me a bottle to use for a bit and it is very good

got mine. Both versions. Unfortunately, I had to go the dentist due my one and only root canal needing a re-treatment. I was gurgling on mouthwash all day yesterday, and today my tongue is just not tasting much of anything.

However, from what I can tell it's a very a clean RY4 taste, IMO perfect Ry4. I only know of one other vendor who has similar, yet not as clean, Ry4..

Great stuff. I am partially leaning towards the VG more :) seems to be a a little 'richer' or 'fuller' if that makes any sense!

I got a taste a few weeks back, and my order in yesterday. Didn't want to review it until I had the "production" version. I am in Boston, so I got my IKV orders pretty quickly. Been vaping nothing but this RY4 in my 3 main devices since I got it yesterday.

Can't seem to put this stuff down...

Glad to see glowing reviews. I just got in 30ml of Vapor Mist's VG version and find it off, despite it too having really great reviews.

I've also been on this hunt for a LONG time, as I too switched to 100% VG after developing allergies. A couple more days of waiting.....

Sweet! Mine should be here Monday! Can't wait...I've been chasing a really good RY4 for the past year too. To the original poster....is it anything like the Pure Smoker Riskee Yuice used to be?

Never had the Riskee Yuice, but it does taste just like the original Dekang RY4.

It appears this is Dekang made to me - same prod date stamps and "YNDK" on the cap's rim. I opted to try 20ml of the VG and I am enjoying it quite a bit. Plumes of tasty vapor (VG of course).

Definitely a very very nice nutty smokey tobacco taste. I think I have a hard time picking up caramel flavor; Others usually find it where I don't necessarily, but it does have a sweetness to it that probably is the caramel. Sure, it's a little on the thick side and I don't think I'll try it in a carto, but thinner than expected.

This is far and away the best tobacco juice I have tried (I've "only" tried 7 or so - perhaps a small count by some people here, but this definitely stands out). One of those was another RY4 and while it was similar, I didn't really care for it. It just had something "wrong" about it and also was not nearly as clean and flavorful (and it was PG based even).

I just stocked up on a couple more bottles of the VG. I am so happy I found another all day vape, I only had one previously and it'll be nice having two primaries I can switch off between.

I am very picky about my juice, I've tried hundreds and this is only the second to become an all day vape for me. It's tough to find good tobaccos that don't give me allergic reactions and that I enjoy their flavor day in and day out and just don't get sick of.

Re: it's performance in cartos, I've used it in my Ikenvape LR KR808 Megas and 801 fusions without any wicking issues.

Hmmm...I have a IKV Gold V2 I've been waiting for the right juice to try in, as well as a few more fresh LR901 carts that I'm pretty sure will fog a large room combined with this juice. How long do your carts last you? All I've read so far is that VG cuts the life by something like 30-50%.
