I am sad to hear the IKV Semi 801 is on the chopping block to be discontinued... :( You may have noticed a recent boost in Semi sales Isaac... It's not entirely because of the sale price. Many REO Grand owners are discovering the size and proportion of the Semi is perfect for the Grand, and vapes very well.. Just right. :vapor:

I like the Mini 801, but have had issues of hot juice sputter / getting into the mouth, and limited choice in drip tips. The Semi just works well, and IMO fills a need with not only the Grand, but other mods..

Would you please run a poll so others may voice their opinion? Perhaps if warranted, you can keep a small supply stocked for us folks that prefer the Semi 801 length over the Mini, and full 801.

It would be sad to have to purchase full sized 801's from you, only to cut them to Semi size with a tubing cutter as another ECF member suggested we may have to resort to...

Thank You For Your Consideration...

I would like to know who started that rumour?

Isaac Posted it...

and I can't wait to hear what you think sewn!

LOL Sewn! The full size is supposed to give the vapor a slight cool down before reaching you to minimize TH a bit. The Mini is available in both 2.0LR and 3.5HV. I hear from a trusted source that Healthcabin's 801 drip tips actually fit them. So I want to try it and if it works, source it and discontinue the Semi series. As thier job is just to maker the shortened 801's drip tip compatible. Side note, we're working on custom drip tips ;)
The future of the Mini, is that we're dropping the overall resistance a few notches for the LR series ;)

+1!!!

First I heard of it Switched. It's just a rumor though huh?
I think Isaac did say this. I, too, love the size of the semi.
Isaac did say that a short time ago. He was hoping that the Minis will come in 1mm longer and be drip tip compatible . Semis were originally developed to be shorter than a standard 801 yet usable with drip tips. I'm not sure that Isaac ever intended for the Semi to be as long as it actually is...

Then they'll be SLR attys.
LOL 5Card! I was thinking XLR but SLR works even better!

That I did good sir and you are certainly right Vladominator the Semi wasn't supposed to be so large.
Also for Techno:
We're actually taking another stab at this and hoping they'll get it right. The Semi is 38mm as the Mini is 31mm. We're going to unite the two to an even 34mm. We have them being made and stamped by their respective numbers of IKV 1.8Ω and IKV 2.5Ω. The reason for the first run to have the low numbers is because they will be stressed to the max and we can better determine the sputter effect. This set will definitely be tested prior to release if all goes successful.

Thank you for stamping them! I can easily tell the LRs right now, of course, because they're taller but when they're triplets the engraving will sure help. Let me get this straight...you're going to let us have it all, with all being 1.8 and 2.5? Thanks!

Now THAT sounds interesting, and great news... :) Any ballpark ETA since the Semi is sold-out ATM? Nice you will still be carrying 2.5 ohm also.. I use the 2.5 Semi on the Grand 90% of the time now @ 6v with no burnt taste, excellent flavor, and vapor production.

Thanks Isaac... :)

Wtg Isaac and 5Card on your incoming vaping BDs. A year for me 2/8 and it seems like I started only yesterday.

Yup! I remember the discussion wrt 34mm. What I would like to see is a standardization of the attys right across the board. If that is possible. 1.8/2, 2.5, 3.5 and 5.2. LR, Std, HV and XHV.
