I recently purchased some LR 306 to run on my grand. I am not having any luck at all.

I first thought I had a dud because everything was inferior to my generic LR 510's performance.

Less throat hit, less flavor, and less vapor.

So I tried another IKV LR 306. No luck. Light taste. Very little throat hit.. not so warm. Because the tip I am using is clear, I can see that the atty must be creating a bit of an airlock.. because when I take a hit.. it's filling up a bit with liquid. I can see that it covers the bridge often, even if before hitting there isn't any liquid covering the bridge. Almost like it's auto feeding.

Anyone having any luck with these? Any suggestions for a good, long lasting Atty for the Grand?

Thanks

Hit the atty with a multimeter. Is there a chance that it is not LR and actually HV???? Anyway I have found the Iken 306's to be better on my VV mods. I use the Cisco LR 306's in the 1.5 ohm flavor on my Grand and Mini. Matched with a Cannon DT I have found that setup to be my favorite for the Reo Grand. On the Mini I use a shorter DT on the Cisco 306.

So I had some problems with me recent IKV order (see thread about 7 down from this one) and hopefully that problem is resolved. But you are describing my second problem exactly.

Since I couldn't get my LR 306's to screw on my Reo, I decided to try them out on my silver bullet with an 18650. First I de-bridged and de-wicked it (this is standard procedure for me with Cisco 306's) and primed it. My experience was just like yours. No vapor, no flavor, just a faint sizzle and heat. I tried vaping it for an hour and couldn't make it any better. I thought "maybe you cant de-bridge and de-wick these like Ciscos?" and figured I might have ruined it. So I threw some RCR123A's into my silver bullet and screwed one of the HV 306's right out of the box and I can saw that one is running phenomenally.

Not sure if the latest LR 306 batch are duds or what. Although I was looking to support a local Pennsylvania vendor, I might just stick with Ciscos from now on.
