I went through a lot of mods before I found my keeper the Grand and now my atty search is over too.In the past couple months I have tried several different brands of LR,STD and HV 510's 306's and 901's and the IKV LR 901 was my favorite. Then the IKV cannon came out so I tried one because it was like an 801 with 510 threads and I never tried an 801.I got the 1.8 ohm and the flavor and vapor was great but they leaked like crazy for me and many others so I stopped using them.I thought to myself if this is what an 801 is like i gotta try some real 801's.So I ordered a few Cisco 1.5 ohm 801's and a 510 to 801 stealth adapter from Avid Vapor and wow this is what I have been in search of from the start.I put one on my Grand with a fresh AW IMR 18650,primed it and i'm still going. The flavor is incredible and so is the vapor, but not a huge throat hit and i'm fine with that.I'm gonna stock up on these things and you guys should give the 801 a try if you haven't.Later.

I was the same way when I first tried them.

I was the same way when I first tried 901s

I really like most new things when i throw them on. But I always find a reason new attys can't stand the test of time.

Just my opinion from a boring old 510/Boge carto guy :)

Congrasts though it feels great to find something that works well for your own style.
Vaping is very personal and everyones needs are very different.

Its funny though, you take 20 ex marlboro red smokers that swore by the things and they will have 20 different set-ups to vape on :)

I still throw the IKV short 801s on as well as the IKV 901s from time to time. Its nice for a change of pace but they are not my go-to atty.

For the record the reason the 801s did not stand the test of time for me was ......
Can't stand the way they hold so much juice that backs up and clogs the atty if you let it sit for a few hours.

I've used penstyles for over 2 years. If you like the 801 penstyle atty, give the low bridge versions a try (and if like me, you'll never go back to the pointy high bridge 801).

The 302 is a great atty (Joye, Boge and Bauway make them). Great for dripping or using a cartridge with. Also low bridge BE112 and RN4072 are low bridge, work great and are compatible with the 801.

On the 801 train too. Once Isaac helped me find them with a hard hitting wood box mod, I have not looked back. I use a stealth adapter from MV that works perfectly on the metal reos (and other bottom feeders). Yeah, I have some 510's but I find they hit harsh with all but tobaccos. I don't have problems with IKV gunking up. But I don't prime and let them sit. Chain vaper here:lol: When the flavor/vapor drops after 2 weeks or more of heavy use, I give em a soak and let them air dry. Issac does not recommend dry burning the coils. Not tried the ciscos as I am very happy w/IKV, but sometimes he is OOS. Good to know they are good just in case ;-) I tried GP and well, they are just not doing it for me.
