Good luck to him! I just returned from Afghanistan a few months ago. It shouldn't be long until he gets net access, as the army basically uses the same places to transport troops to and from Afghanistan. I was able to get on the internet and call my family within 2 days of leaving the country.

They are 1/2 way through their tour and have had net access for most of the time that they have been over there
They have been there since May. I know that they will appreciate your well wishes. If you have time to look back through this thread there are pictures that they have posted and may look familiar to you

Santa's Missing Hat contest is sucking the life out of me, my best friend since elemntry school finally had her first (and likely at her age last) baby this week, still have some loose ends to tie up with my dads stuff, taking product photos for mike and others and so on and so on. I will try not to let life get in the way of sending my well wishes to the desert from here on out though!
But I got to say, the link to the damnyouautocorrect site Tracy shared might get in the way. LOL, throat still hurts from laughing so hard! Thanks again Tracy!

I have been MIA for awhile myself as I had lots of family here visiting. I have not heard from our Army Friends either and am hoping that all is well. I do have a holiday care package almost ready and it will ship by weeks end
Wow, I've been really bad about sending the few things I have for the care package. It will have to go out with the next one as I am flying to Georgia this friday and will be lucky if I actually have time to pack.

That is a fine looking beverage you're sipping there man. I'm jealous....they even stopped giving us near beer.
Well it was my 49th. When you get this old you don't really celebrate anymore.
I had my Thanksgiving this past weekend so that my entire family could be here. It was very nice but it really kicked my .... since I am the one that did all of the cooking. It was well worth it though.
I had to take a day trip yesterday (500 miles round trip) on top of it all so am quite worn out. I do have most everything packed and ready to go in your pkg except the DIY stuff. I will have that all added by Friday and your pkg will be mailed.
I hope that all is well over there. If you don't see much of me here just know that I am recovering from it all. I will check in when I am able and was glad to hear from you.
Oh and my Christmas will also be a week early so that everyone can be here so I am really swamped with things to do.
