It sure was. Especially for his mom. The buses pulled up and everyone breathed a sigh of relief because they almost didn't make it home after what happened with the death of *you know who*. They were stranded at an airfield for a couple days because of the heightened security.
this has to be the coolest thread ever. You guys just made one hell of a goodnight for me.
So i made it here to beautiful sunny afghanistan (it is actually a pretty nice view..huge mountains everywhere, never seen anything like it) We do have random access to internet, but it's German run for German troops and we get the left overs plus we have to pay in euros which means the price makes it kind of a luxury item. No good stories yet except our "refugee" style tents. I'm staying in a 200 man tent full of guys that spend all day in 120+ weather so you can imagine the smell.My wifes making me take some pics so I'll post some up next time I'm on. Hopefully i'll talk to you guys soon.
by the by salem, not too many people woulda talked me into vaping "forest fruit" out of a pink e-cig in a friggin war zone around all these dudes, but man I aint stoppin now
