yes i do, you learn to laugh at it, sort of..
for instance, i heat with wood,, bad enough for my breathing anyway... when i bring up the firewood i have to bring it up 30 stairs, carrying only a few pieces leaves me gasping by the time i get to the stove...i slap the air line on, grab a table, calm down and breath slow till i get caught up,..but i then put on a smile while uttering what the heck... i used to cut all my wood, bout 20 cords a year, split it to by hand, a real tough guy..(major grin), rather than get sad at the cutting and chopping i can not do now, am glad i can buy it ready to go, why did i want to work that hard any way?..laughs...
i still run my bakery 70 plus hours a week 7 months a year.. that is hell on the lungs too, but i got to work, pay the bills, so again, ya grin and bear it...i aeint ready for disability, so i add a 30 foot extension to the oxygen generator and go for it.
but.... this is me now, there is no other thing to do but deal with it, like learning to walk again... eventually ya get used to it and function with it, your limitations are changed for sure, but that does not mean your incapacitated, we just do other things and some things differently is all. it is not the end.
as you research ways to help the situation, you discover many things that are so cool... for instance, tonight i am looking up and studying different nutritional supplements, and the best types of each, and forms of them to use.. i found this and MAY BE OF USE TO YOU TOO...
NAC reduces the frequency and duration of attacks of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and may slow the clinical course of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). from this site..lifeextension.com/magazine/2010/5/N-Acetyl-Cysteine/Page-01
and i have many such supplements i use each day, and it turns out that it is not only helping to combat my copd and other lung issues, but the whole body...in studying you learn the vast relationships between all nutritional things going on "in there", it is a blast really!
you will also learn that some.."SOME" of the damage we now combat are not simply damage we did, but could be things we could have done but where either unaware of , or ignored, or put off because as westerner's we wait till we have a "UN IGNORABLE" symptom and treat that only.. when the symptom, is the sign at the end of a domino chain of Little things gone unchecked.
my two cents in short... 1. do the studying i proposed, and use it. 2. get a good blender/extractor like a Nutri Ninja or a VitaMix, and start doing lots of fresh foods.. a great start for you and great things to pass along to your family, ...most of all..
have faith.
