I've been off of the cigs for over 3 years and my gear is very basic. Aspire K1 type stuff is really the best that I need. However, being the prepper that I am, I went in with some vapocalypse stuff. Provari power and a bunch of tanks. Didn't really want to use them, but figured some day I would have to. Well, I got jazzed tonight and thought I'd try it out. Filled up a Triton V2 and put it on the Provari and I got an E1. Fine, I changed the coil, and I got nothing but burnt cotton. For 20 minutes. OK, let's try a Triton V1 Another E1. OK let's try that Lemo. E1. I threw that .... on the ......n floor. I think the Provari survived, the Lemo not so much. I'm still trying to figure out how I spent 3 hours with expensive hardware without a single hit, and how my reliable vape is still an aspire K1. Pretty sure there is some user error here, but I'm not an idiot. I've been vaping for over 3 years and I majored in chemical engineering.

Email ProVape. They will help troubleshoot or give you return instructions. They are great to deal with IME.

Likely a 510 connector issue bit worth checking with the manufacturer....

If I remember right they are real picky about how tight the tank is. Back it off a tad. Also if the voltage is a tad high you get the E1 code. Just back it down a bit and try it. Honestly it sounds as though the coils never got primed good.

I don't use my Provari at all unless i am vaping low wattage tanks , works great for that but forget higher wattage tanks.

What ohms are you using? Which provair do you have? Provari doesn't fire below .8 I think, and some of them don't fire below 1.2 (again I think). We need more info.

Yes above is correct, the coils you are using could be too low of a resistance for the provari to fire? The older provari's don't really do these newer sub ohm coils

Today I just received a provari 2.5 (I bought it from a member here, and I don't know exactly how new or old it is.) that I tried first with two clearo's that I regularly use. One is 1.8 ohms, and the other is 2.1. They both worked fine. I wanted to try my Serpent Mini RTA next. The coil I built and is in there at the moment reads .95 ohms, and I got an E1 error code also, but that tank with that particular coil works fine in another mod that I have. I concluded the Provari doesn't fire sub-ohm coils. Whether your coil is sub-ohm or not, contact Provape and I'm sure they'll assist you.

I remember I had to wrap a 1.2 ohm coil in the Subtank mini to fire on my old Provari V2...it was like 9 wraps of 26g kanthel on a 3mm bit... anything over 4.9v I got a E1 Error..think 4.7v was the sweet spot if I remember right...

I had that happen with a Lemo on a Provari. The positive pin on the Lemo is level with the negative ring. And the positive pin on the Provari is rather large in diameter. So the Pos on the Provari contacts the negative ring on the Lemo. You can screw the Pos out on the Lemo but it's loose so when you screw the tank onto the mod the Lemo pin just screws itself back in.

You have to find a way of screwing the Lemo pin out and stopping it from going back up. You can put a small o-ring under the head of the pos pin to hold it out. The o-rings from those small screwdrivers fit. Or put a small scrap of o-ring in the screw hole of the dome shaped piece the positive pin screws into.

Took me a while to figure that one out. All my other mods have smaller diameter positive pins than the Provari. That may be your problem with the other tank as well but I'm not familiar with them.

Not sure about the radius abd larger Provari mods but tge Mini will not fire below 1.2.

I had that happen with a Lemo on a Provari.

Or, here is another fix if your atomizers canter pin is level with the 'negative ring' (the threaded part just outside of the center pin):

In any of these atomizers, the center pin of the atomizers 510 connector (positive connection) needs to protrude out slightly from the threaded part that actually screws into your mod (negative connection).

If the center pin does not stick out slightly, there is a good chance that there will be a short.

Look at the photo below ... If the center pin (green arrow) is not protruding out slightly, you will need to remove that center pin and the plastic insulator it slides into. Then get a file or a Dremel and slightly grind down the outer part of the 510 connector (red arrow).

Once this is done, clean and reinstall the plastic insulator and center pin. The center pin should now slick out slightly like in the photo below ... don't grind too much !

I, initially, had the same issue with a P2.5. I re-read and did some trial and error and it worked. I do a 1.2 or 1.3 ohm coil at 3.9 volts.

Like all of my initial uses for hardware, I had to learn some first.

The p2.5 will fire as low as .8 ohms but only up to a 3.5 amp limit , which is probably like 3volts, anything over the 3.5 amp limit will trigger the error message. So although it will fire to .8, you won't be able to obtain any wattages over 10 or so. A 1.3 ohm coil will give the best results and will give the max wattage for that device. All in all, the p2.5 is for mtl vapors who prefer to vape low wattages. Not to long ago, this 15 watt, 3.5 amp mod was about the only regulated device that existed, if you prefer ed more power you had to use a mech
