To those not sure if your sense of smell and/or taste will come back, yes, yes, it does. In full force. With a vengeance.

You know I got used to the difference in the way things taste pretty quick. But the improved sense of smell still gets me at times.

<--- I always knew my dog farts. I just never knew how bad those farts really were. Specially the silent but deadly ones

Your taste buds are not being assaulted as they once were. Food and drink will change, and generally for the better. I have found that I don't need the same quantity of food as I now slow down and enjoy my meal. Before I was eating faster so I could outside to smoke.

My sense of smell has changed and not necessarily for the better. I work in a hospital and encounter putrid odors on a daily basis. Now that my nose works better I am become more nauseous and less tolerant. I have noticed that I chew more gum than before.

Try giving the dog a little Activia yogurt. It really helps...lol

You has a sad cuz a BigMac now tastes like BigCrap?

I can relate, but it didn't push me into a bout of melancholy. I think I have eaten at McDonald's all of twice since I started vaping. All I could taste was grease and fat, and in the background some kinda texture that was posing as meat. (I think it was meat.) Actually, overall there was more texture to it than flavor. What were those green-ish, semi... ok - not crunchy at all bits? Oh - "lettuce."

All I really remember - clearly - was the taste of fatty grease. Or is that greasy fat? Whatever it is, since my sense of taste improved I just don't do "that" any more.

Man, I haven't had a Big Mac for 30 years now. Thought they were good when they came out in the 60's but the novelty ran out. They started tasting like crap around the 80's. Haven't had one since. Would be scared to try one now.

I figure it's like this:

We now are getting all the nicotine we want via vaping....soooo

Our taste buds are retuning to normal, our nic levels are more constant so we aren't as hungry!

Food tastes better and we don't have to eat so much of it, and what really tastes bad like a Miky Dee, we now taste it and realize just how bad it is, so we don't want it, thus yet another health benefit from vaping!

I don't know. Either I've changed the way I pull on the drip tip or I've got vaper's tongue.

It's been a frustrating few days for me.

Had a Big Mac for lunch today and it tasted very different than usual. Not as good as it usually is.

I strongly suspect my taste buds are changing.

While this is likely a good thing in the long run (we all know McDonald's is crap food), the Big Mac has been ol' reliable for me as a quick fast food thing.

Damn my Big Mac tastes better now that I can actually taste it:toast:

I find I'm not eating nearly so much as I was. It's a good thing, actually.

A smoker who loves BigMac's...lol... I can only imagine! ;)

llamainmypocket: Sounds like you need to upgrade your equipment. I'm using Kayfun lite and find I need less flavor in my juice... I hear the Russian 91% is a great alternative.

I remember having some McDonald's french fries about a week after I quit. The salt damn near gagged me. I figured that I had gotten an extra salty batch but, after trying a few more times, I realized that's just how they taste. If I order them now, I ask for no salt.
