Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I remember having some McDonald's french fries about a week after I quit. The salt damn near gagged me. I figured that I had gotten an extra salty batch but, after trying a few more times, I realized that's just how they taste. If I order them now, I ask for no salt.

I've always thought they were oversalted. I'm not a huge fan of a ton of salt. Never have been.

I have problems with potato chips, too. I have to blow them off before eating them...lol

I'm jealous. I haven't even tasted my vape since immediately after starting to use e cigarettes. Even cinnamons and mints mute after a day. This is my tenth month straight of vapers-tongue. I'm pretty sure it's permanent. I don't even know if the problem is e cigarettes or the way my body registers taste.

Over the years of Vaping I've had 'periods' where this happens to me. Just switch flavors a lot and you'll find (in time), the taste buds come back. It's a cyclic thing... really sucks when it happens, but for some of us it happens a LOT! lol. I hate it too. ;)

Yeah, you really have to rotate flavors. If you vape too much of one thing, you'll stop tasting it. Happened to me with butterscotch. While I still love butterscotch, I rarely vape it anymore. It's more of a treat, really. A few puffs of butterscotch every once in a while, and then I put it away.

EDIT: Also, even if you hate menthol, you should try finding a menthol you're okay with vaping. It can act as a palate cleanser, and is a godsend if you ever get sick with a cold.
