im a total newb! provari + igo-l ...please help what wick and wire??

this is my first build im relatively clueless lol ive been researching a little, ..know i have alot ahead of me

bought an igo-l last nite

30 and 32 ga kanthal from temco wire? or ribbon?!

and what kind of silica/ekowool/cotton should i order (width)

and lol any other tips or links that would be especially helpful would be really appreciated!!!!

30g kanthal good to start if that's ur two choices

Silica and ekowool 3mm until u get the hang of building coils I started with silica since I can dry burn than once I felt comfortable with my coil build I moved on to organic cotton and just recently moved to sterile rolled cotton..... Cotton gives better taste but ur coils have to be as good as well so just practice practice and practice than move to cotton once u feel comfortable... But than again this is all my opinion hopefully more professionals come by and chime in with there opinion

Oh yea with the provari u can't go no lower than 1.1 ohm I usually build 1.5 or 1.7 on mine and remember to be safe with all your builds

yes thankyou for the response i was wanting to build a 1.5-2ohm coil, i think lol
but i dont even know how to wrap the different types, only a single from a few videos..

should i just use the search function on the forum and youtube for tips and tricks or is there a subforum or website i can go to?!?

im going to get 3mm ekowool and silica then...and 28 and 30ga kanthal

any other suggestions?

Silica is the easiest to start with and preforms very well, it's very forgiving and you don't have to worry about burning it. Cotton will probably be your next progression but it has to stay wet or it will burn quick, then you have to replace it. Stick with silica till you get the hang of it.

On a Provari or other regulated mod I'd stick with 30ga Kanthal, 28ga or even bigger is is good for mechanical mods but will probably take top many wraps to get high enough ohms for a regulated mod. 32is good if you want to get nearer or in the 2 ohm range but imo 30 reforms better and the mid 1ohm range that 30ga gives is plenty high enough for regulated.

4 to 5 wraps of 30ga with most builds usually puts me right at 1.5 ohms so you should be good to go from there and start your ride.
