@ Madame Psychosis & Kurt,
I was not worried about the artificial flavorings at all. I was concerned that glycerine might not be good, but I was reassured that it was the same as VG. Thanks for the feedback.

The old lady doesn't go back to work again until tomorrow, so I'm going to ask her to bring some blueberry next.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Here's one for ya...
I moved to San Antonio TX during the first gulf war and was devistated to find out that there were no DD's anywhere to be found. :(
But one day I was driving down the street and low and behold there was a very small DD on the side of the road! (the only one in texas as far as I could tell)
Now, I only drink iced coffee (yes even in the winter), and it was about 100 degrees that day! Boy was I excited when I walked in the front door. I sauntered (yes sauntered) up to the counter and quite happily said I'll have a large iced coffee (there were no flavor shots back then either).
My happiness quickly turned to sadness when the woman behind the counter looked at me like I was from another planet and said what's an iced coffee? 8-o Can you believe that in a smoldering hot state like Texas they had never heard of iced coffee? Me neither.
Anyway to make a long story even longer, I was not able to find any business that sold iced coffee anywhere in San Antonio, so I used to make my own at circle K. You think you get weird looks when people see you vaping in public? Try making an iced coffee at circle K in texas. :)

Here in Louisiana our circle k has a frozen coffee machine. It's like a cappuccino slushy...YUM :D

Agreed, Madame Psycho! Natural flavor is simply the compound that makes something taste the way it does. Artificial flavor means it tastes like the natural, but is a different compound and not found also in the food being mimicked.

These flavors look fine. If the toasted almond is like capellas its a good one! These may be weak, since you don't know how much they use in a recipe, but the ingredients look safe. Enjoy and let us know how they are!

Dang-I read this post and realized I did not order my almond-Gotta go back and place another order. Man-it just doesn't stop.

I was in TX back during the first gulf war, maybe they have those machines there now too. But I suspect there are DD's there now as they have pretty much spread throught the country.

don't know about San Antonio but I know that they don't in Killeen lol

My sister, who grew up in NY(= plenty of DDs) and lived in MA (= friggin DD on every street corner even if the "block" only has 2 buildings on it), has complained for a year now, since her husband got stationed at Fort Hood, that there isn't a DD anywhere near them.

And now they found out that their next move, in March, is to the desert in CA and there isn't a single DD there either

Bummer thyestean, maybe you can open the first franchise in your town :)
And I feel for your poor sister too. :(
The reason there are so many DD's in MA is because they started in my home town of Quincy. In fact, I used to go to the first store while I was growing up. It's no longer there now, but it was about half a block from the first Stop & Shop in the country. But that's a story for another day. ;)

First, since moving to California from Maine 8 years ago we've been severely deprived of the DD experience, although we are able to get ground DD coffee to make at home. Its not the same. Also, I'm a DD Iced Coffee junkie too, even in winter (Maine winter, that is). X-Large French Vanilla Iced Coffee with cream and extra sugar, please don't melt the sugar!

Any more results?? My wife will be extremely happy if the French Vanilla gives good results!

Now why would you want to move to a state without DD's? :)
Yeah, making it at home just doesn't cut it. The reason is because you don't get the addictive stuff they put in it when you go to a shop. ;)
I've got the old lady bringing home Almond tonight, I'll get her to bring some French Vanilla tomorrow, and I'll post my results.

So anyway,
The old lady brought some almond. I thought she messed up because it smells like caramel, but in my coffee it tastes like almond. It does have color, but I dropped a couple of drops into the atti straight and it doesn't taste too bad. I think it could be used to round out a flavor mix, but I don't think it is strong enough to use as the main flavor. I'm going to try adding it to a seedmans mix I made that just doesn't taste quite right, because I think it will help tone down on the hay like taste fo the seedmans.
I'll keep you all updated on the next flavor she brings home.

I had my first ever DD coffee last December 08 and fell in love. I get the DD coffee grounds at the store but it's just not the same! I loved there flavors big time and wished I had a DD near me but no such luck here. Who knows maybe 20 years from now, lol, but even then I still doubt it.
