The whole customs thing is sooooo frustrating! Glad you got your order in okay!!
Living only an hour away from the border, I've been ordering extra batts, adapters, and blank cartos from US sites and have been shipping them to a parcel pick-up service in North Dakota. I've been making a run to the border to pick stuff up every couple of weeks it seems over the last month and a half, and today was definitely the last time. At the border crossing I tell the officer that I've bought batteries and adaptors, and of course they ask 'for what' and I say for my electronic cigarette, and then they give me a look like i'm some sort of king pin. Each of the three times I've been told to park and go in to talk to customs, and they're never quite sure what to do.
Each time they've told me that 'e-cigs are illegal in Canada', and I explain that nicotine has been banned, but these are just batteries and adapters. Well this time they almost seized the 3 batteries I was declaring. He asked a few other officers, and they said 'batteries are batteries; batteries aren't banned'. So instead of giving them back to me, he asked me for my keys and then went and searched my car!!! OMG I've never been searched before. Of course I had nothing to hide, but I'm so done with the interrogations. The rules are too wishy washy, and I officials don't like to be 'told' (even very nicely) what the actual rules are.
Previously I had a KR808D-2 model and couldn't find anywhere in Canada that sold cartos/batts, so I was making border runs, but now that I have an eGo and Volt I'm going to stick with Canadian suppliers.
