Biscochitos

1.5% FA anise
.5% FA cinnamon ceylon
1.5% FA cookie
.5% FA meringue
.5% FA red wine
.5% FA orange

mmmmmm my favorite christmas cookie. you can leave the orange out if you want. it reminds me of the way my mom used to make them. she used orange juice instead of the wine in the cookies. I like it with the orange in it. without it it is more like a soft biscochito. the orange kinda crisp it a up a bit. not crunchy but if you have orange try it both ways you will see what I am talking about. maybe It just takes the "soft cookie" away . both ways are good. :vapor:

EDIT oh yeah if you take the orange out bump the anise down to 1% also

Orange is so great with Anise, I'll try it that way. That didn't take you very long!

you have brandy right. you could use that. after checking the recipe that my sweet mother gave me, she says to use either water , wine, brandy or orange juice. seemed like a good way to use up both these flavors lol. it would be good without the meringue to. it does add to it tho..... have you tried the jamacian alone yet ?
No meringue, no red wine. Congrats on getting it nailed! At least I finally got the Jamaican, though. Headed to my wish list.

Nerd, this is super tasty! Sweet and rich cookies! :vapor:

I made it 1.5 Anise, 1.5 Cookie, .5 Cinnamon Ceylon, .5 Meringue, .5 Orange.....paused, sniffed... I just couldn't put the Red Wine in there without trying a vape first. Like I made it, it tastes just like these:
prod_orange_thins.jpg

Those are favorites of mine - thin, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth, bright orange. The cookie and Orange are great together. To me, the Anise is not really adding fennel flavor, just making the whole thing taste like I stored those Anna's in the fridge. (of course, I did a shake-and-vape, so not much cinnamon has come through, and not much will get the chance; I'm using a protank clone, 2.0 ohm coil, ego battery).

Thanks! I'm going to vape this as-is, because I have no Anna's handy. Ohhhh - Anna's make a great ginger cookie, too. If I make a batch like this but with my NF Organics Ginger instead of FA Orange, I'll bet that will be good too.

When this tank is gone, I'll try a mini tank with a little FA Brandy, to make it taste more like you designed it. Orange + Brandy is a combo I like and will keep this bright flavor I'm enjoying so much.

EDIT: okay, you know I couldn't wait. I added Brandy right to my tank, the equivalent of .5%, and it didn't change it much. So I added another equivalent of .5%. It tastes like it's made with orange-flavored brandy now, sort of sophisticated. I like 'em both ways. You know, I could add a little Ginger now. Orange-brandy ginger Biscochitos.

Was it just me, or did I read this super enthusiastically because you were super enthusiastic about it? I can't wait to try it out myself! I'll be using practically the same set up you did, except an MVP. My egos are both about to bite the dust.

wllmc, I haven't had a chance to play since my JR came in the mail, but will definitely let you know when I did get to mix it. Why do these biscochitos so sooooo familiar to me?

Yeah, it's really good! Those Anna's thin orange Swedish wafers are on shopping list. Vaping this, eating those, cup of tea, that sounds great.

I mixed a little flavoring bottle of a stripped version: 1.5 Anise, 1.5 Cookie, 0.5 Meringue. I think that's a magical sugar cookie base, and it leaves up to 1.5% for other stuff. I'm going to try adding Lemon Sicily for lemon sugar cookies; adding Vanilla Classic for vanilla sugar cookies (bet that one's tasty!); with ginger-cinnamon-molasses-(clove?) for gingersnaps...

Thanks again, wllmc...'word to your mom' lol
