It's really hard to go wrong with CigNot they are super fast and the price is right. Order some extra liquid and you're over $50 (you will need it anyway) so shipping is free.

I have also heard that madvapes is an excellent choice with the mega battery kit selling really cheap as well.

I will say that battery life on the 510 is a bit of a drag. Vapor production drops off when it's low. But if your near a charger it's no big deal.

lasttango, welcome! I am also going to recommend the 510, whole heartedly. You mentioned greensmoke. DO NOT DO IT!! Way too expensive, and not even worth the price of a cignot 510 without box.

The 510, as others have said, it to me the perfect PV to start with. It takes a learning curve to figure everything out, but that's true for all PVs. But it is great, as in great, right out of the box, and can be easily improved upon. Carts are easily modded, and almost all bigger batt mods use the 510 atty. The 510 atty is probably about the best PV atty available today.

Make sure you get a Joye 510, although many vendors sell their own rebranded joye's, like the Titan from Totally Wicked is actually a Joye.

I really think you will be most happy with it, and will learn a ton about PVs and vaping. I would also, if you go with a 510 starter kit, get a PCC case, a USB passthrough for vaping from the computer, and a couple extra attys and batts.

And do not under any circumstances buy from a Mall kiosk. They are by and large ripoffs marketing to desperate smokers wanting to quit who have not come to this forum.

Good luck!

Thanks for all of the help... I am getting SO MUCH CLOSER to making a decision...

I am thinking I will get the ego or tornado for myself and the KR808D-1 from V4L for my wife... I know I will be a heavy user and she'll likely Vape rather lightly... and she won't have to mess with atomizers etc...

I am thinking the ego/tornado will give me more vapor and battery life than the 510... and all of the positives of the 510... correct me if I am wrong...

If I get the EGO/Tornado, would I be smarter to get my wife an e-cig that is a better complement to what I am getting in terms of accessories/batteries/atomizers? like the 510 or DSE? or... will the KR808 work?

I think you've got a great plan, the eGo will be very satisfying for you and the simplicity of the kr8 would be nice for your wife. Just make sure she doesn't try your eGo and want "one of those" instead after just getting her the kr8 ;)

I have been using my 510 since the weekend with a PCC and love it.
Get some good juice and find the nic level thats good for you.
I started with some 13mg (smoked ultra lights)which is good for me at work where I vape less, but seemed a little much at home so I ordered some 6mg for vaping more at home. I still hit one or two analogs a day but once I get the 6mg I think i will be set.
Good Luck!

I got my first PV, a KR808D-1, four days ago and I love the simplicity of it. Just screw the battery to the cartomizer and start puffing away!

Since it is my first PV, I can't compare it to anything else. What I can say is, I used to be a pack a day smoker and since getting my KR808D-1, I haven't had one since!

Whatever your choice, I'm sure you'll love it!

It's a good plan..the thing I like about the 510/eGo/tornado is that there IS some fiddle factor..you can tweak the cart filler or drip..little things for performance..KR8 is what it is, simple, not alot that can be done with it..though I am amused to see more posts lately about little simple mods and tweaks on them...kinda takes away that argument on the whole it's simpler thing..
Anyway if it were me I would do as you said and get the eGo...buy an extra atty and an extra atty cone (that way you have 2 complete units) ...get her the KR8..and pop into madvapes and grab a 510 battery to 901/808 adapter ($2.49) and maybe a 901 battery to 510 atty adapter (again $2.49)...
That would give you 2 complete eGos...her 2 complete ecigs (depending on where you get the kit)...and it would give you the ability to try (and/or use) cartomizers on the eGo..and try (and/or use) a 510 atty on a KR8 battery (the 510 atty on a KR8 battery is really nice in that the KR8 battery runs a true 3.7V where the 510/eGo actually run at 3.1V (which pushes more vapor) but it makes the unit quite long)
It would give you both good working kits and the ability to play around and tweak what you want and see what trades off for what when you start mixing models..

I really appreciate ALL of the help, insight and time you took advising me... The past 3 days of obsessing over what ecig to get has floored me...
The truth is that I am obsessive as you can imagine and I am sure I will turn this into a hobby and eventually own more than a few... I really wanted the EGO... but it was tough getting hold of them and I also really liked the KR808D-1/V4L...

So I bought TWO kits from V4L - one for me and one for my wife... I bought a bunch of carts and flavors and stuff...

Very excited.

Next I'll get a 510... an ego/tornado, screwdriver... yeah... I feel it coming and I haven't even had my first vape.

Thanks, LT

Just got my first shipment from V4L, and so far the flavours that I've tried are amazing!!! They are soo much better than the flavours that I got from China that came with my KR808D-1!
