How much did you smoke befor? I was a 2 PAD smoker and I use 18mg juice, 32-34mg nic is alot, just saying.
AL

I smoke 1 to 1 1/2 PAD. I started out with 24mg and I thought it was a bit much. I bought 30ml of Mountain 55 at 24mg and also a 5ml bottle. I ended up buying again a 30ml bottle of Mountain 55 at 6ml and mix the two to cut it down to 15gm. I've been getting other juices now at 18mg which I think is my sweet spot for now.

Yeah, lower the nicotine on some of them. I was a heavy smoker 2PAD and only used one flavor of 36 mg stuff for the cravings. Everything else was 24 mg. I've since started cutting back and I'm now on 18 mg, with only some 24 mg stuff on occasion.

All advise given from everyone has been spot on.

Given the choices you've make I can almost ascertain that you won't be smoking much longer. And don't worry about the occasional cig. Smoke one if it gets bad and within a week or two you won't want another.

Thanks guys. Yeah I was never too heavy a smoker (I work out & run a lot) but figured I'd rather get more mgs for my $. but at the same time I kind of like the idea of vaping all day without nicotine jitters. I haven't bought anything yet so I will go back and check on the cartomizers and such. Can't begin to say how happy I am that I joined this forum before purchasing.

also, does it matter what kind of cartomizers I get? does it have to be brand specific?

You have choices. I would eventually try both to see what you like the best. Also DCV sells the E Turbo clearomizer which is nice. The options are unless.

Kinda. Cartos have more loyal fans then anything else in this forum. So folks will recommend things like the Boge 2.0 or Smoktech 1.7's (me included)

There are other brands (and clones too).

But for me the sweet spot is around 3.8 volts and Smoktech 1.7's. Everything else moves away from that sweet spot, for me. For others its something else.

Higher resistence will give a less harsh hit, so folks may suggest Boge 2.5's or 3.0's.
Or dual coils. They produce more vapor but less throat hit.(even at 1.5 ohms)

It's really up to the individual to find what works best for themselves. All we can do is try to lead you to what works for us. Or stear you away from things that have given us bad results.

The biggest part of vaping is finding what works best for you. And it takes some experimenting. Cartos, clearomisers, mega cartos, atty's offer something for everyone.

I don't know what the success or failure rate is with PV's.
But I'd bet it better then all the Big Pharma stuff.

This is probably the longest I've gone without a smoke, don't have any cravings for them (or suicidal tendencies like those from Chantix).
http://www.chantix.com/side-effects-safety-info.aspx
Some people have had changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal thoughts or actions while using CHANTIX to help them quit smoking. Some people had these symptoms when they began taking CHANTIX, and others developed them after several weeks of treatment or after stopping CHANTIX

Heck, given that I'm still getting the nicotine, less all the carcinogens, I think I may even be more pleasant.

I have KGOs and my favorite carto is the 1.7 low rez resurrectors from CCV. I think they're single coil. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! They hold almost 2mls of juice but still need to top off every now and then. For me, it's the best vape. Pretty soon I'm going to grow up and get a tank, but still thinking on that one. Get a few different kinds do you can see what YOU like.

OK. Let me get this straight, in order to get my wife to stop ripping my head off all the time, I need to get her to start smoking. Once she is a heavy smoker, move her to patches, gums etc. Then, once they don't work, move her to vaping...
Hmmm... That may be worth a try...
