It's been 6 weeks since I stopping smoking and started vapeing. The month of april I spent just under a grand, most of it on trail and error stuff. I think most of us do because we have no idea what to buy. I tried really hard this month not to spend anything but already I've spent a little over 500.00, but at least now it's on stuff that a like. The only thing that makes me feel better is not only did I quit smoking but my husband and two daughters also quit with all my loot. I going to try to go one month without spending, I'll let you know if I can do it.

Been there myself! Most of us have. Luckily I've been able to make up a little of it in the classifieds by selling off some of the juice & different things that weren't for me. I think it's all apart of the experience. You have to find the right juice, delivery method & PV. And sometimes we just go on binges. I've done well for the last couple of weeks but now I'm hopping on the DIY train so hopefully that'll help me cut back a little more.

Don't beat yourself up too bad though! Heck! Including you, you've pretty much provided for 4 other vapers! So divide it by 4 & send them the bill!! Just kidding! Lol! But congrats! That's amazing! Heck...I've spent all of this cash & it's just me

Pshaw...I'll lend you my wife...she cut me off! (Okay...I needed to be cut off...).

I was a good boy for a month and vowed to only buy vaping stuff with my "allowance". Been eating nothing but canned ravioli at work and just ordered three RBAs a ton of wick and wire and enough juice to last another month (um...plus a battery, some drip tips, and another Phiniac).

Poof! Allowance gone. Now I gotta wait another two weeks until pay day.

It seems like every time I'm on the internet I'm looking at another e-cig vendor, considering what I could buy. I've had to make a conscious effort to curtail my "browsing" habit. I know in the beginning it takes time and money to figure things out and get to a point where you're happy with your set-up, but it seems like it can get out of hand rather quickly.

I'm looking forward to the time when I've actually saved money from quitting smoking.:p

Every time you want to buy something just ask yourself, Is what I have good enough for right now? It doesn't have to be what you want to vape forever. But if you need to save up for a bit, then don't order a provari while egos are keeping you off the cigs. The Provari can wait. (Just the first example that came to mind. Not knocking the Provari. :) ) OTOH, if your supply of juice is running low, by all means spend the money. You gotta have juice.

Then just work on some balance, maybe set up a vape budget so you can get what you need and throw in a few new toys from time to time as well.

I get what your feeling for sure. All it took for me was to get hacked after making a purchase and have them wipe my bank account clean....that will keep me from spending....well at least until the bank puts the $1500 back in my account...LOL. Gotta figure out a safer way for sure. Will be picking up some pre paid cards this week.

I'm trying my hardest to be good and not spend a lot even though it's so tempting to. I guess I was lucky that I found this forum right away and watched a bunch of You Tube videos prior to spending so I went for the Provari right away. That was right after I got an Ego Twist. Really, no more than two or three devices are needed. Unless someone has figured out a way to use two at the same time.

I did read about someone doing that once. She was trying to see if 2 flavors would be good together, so was vaping 2 pvs with 2 flavors at the same time. Said it didn't work for the flavor sampling, though.

Well, I sure hope she did this in private. I can see it not being the same as mixing the two flavors tonight. It's amazing how innovative people are...

Man. I look for stuff to buy. But have decided to go rba. Buy mesh and wire then just concentrate on saving money by looking at a way to manage juice spending. Every time I see something I try to buy it. I have decided for my one year no analogs and get down to 0nic I'll get a really nice device.

I need to stop going to vapor joes site! I've been refreshing the page just to see whats on sale and I end up buying everything! I've already got 3 pvs coming my way! I might be excited and feeling a nice high from buying that stuff now but once I receive it, I know I wont be happy and I will just want more. I need to learn to be happy with what i have and not whats new and shiny. This includes the juice because i keep ordering flavors i end up not liking but i got to vape them up eventually. I think once i vaped them all up ill narrow done the juice hunt to the ones i like and slowly get new stuff to try. I think i will eventually give off some gear to smokers i know who want to quit as the op stated.

Yeah, I was looking forward to saving money when I quit stinkies in late January.
Already have a Zen Atty
An A.R.T. Julia (nice bit of work - not popular yet)
3 Vamos - 1 which I gave away - the other 2 are...garbage
3 AGA-T+ - they are great - period
A couple terminator oddy clones
Smoktech mech
ZMAX
Tons of other crap
And..on the way...
Cobra - a real one
Ithaka
Precise+ 18650
Precise ELA
Sigelli #20
Electric Angel - a real one
More batteries and chargers and wick and god only knows what else

Yeah, quitting smoking has saved me a lot of money... (NOT) - but - I don't care.
If it keeps me off ciggys - the money is NOT relevant.

I feel SO much better - and - I have not had ONE single cigarette.

So - if I want something - I don't care. I buy it if I want it - it's a new hobby - a new collection. Maybe I'll always be in search of the perfect vape - possible - but - I do have some seriously damn good ones now - and I don't smoke.

I've spent over a grand in devices alone. not including the half dozen vivi nova tanks that were 20 bucks each. the kangers and clearomizers. the cartomizers and cartomizer tanks. the rebuildable genesis tanks. the wick and wires and stainless mesh. the rebuildable drippers. all the juice i've bought. the DIY supplies. the containers I bought to keep all this in. I've probably spent around 15 hundred bucks in the past 2 years. Which is an amazing feat for a 21/22 year old kid that has never worked more than 25-30 hours each week, and I've only had like 2 jobs that each lasted around 6 months. Pretty much poured every cent into this hobby. And when Im not working I spend all day here on eCf helping new vapers and new members. I'd like to walk away from this forum but its addictive, and ive got a very addictive personality. VERY addictive.

Okay, now this just made me say "awww" and lol at the same time.
It makes me want to send you a sandwich.
Make sure you order citrus juice!
You know...for the Vit C and all.
Don't want you coming down with scurvy or sumthin...
HA!
I DO know what you guys mean, though.
AT first, I spent way WAY too much, but it has leveled off now and I'm actually saving.
My golden years are just around the corner, so things are looking up.
:D
