I try to control my spending with a rechargeable card. 130 cover my needs of most heads/rebuildable parts/batteries. When trying something new I buy two and a spare head and not order again until I'm sure it's cost effective and what I want. Rebuildable tanks as the Terminator is a great way to curb spending, they work great and are easy to rebuild. As for mods I chose three, a Gripper, a sigelei Zmax Telescope and an eVic.

The only way to curb spending is ordering only what you need and sticking to that. I mix liquids I don't like and vape them anyway. Makes me enjoy the ones I like even more.

You are not alone. I was in the same boat. Now I have enough supplies in delivery systems not to have to spend anything there for three months and enough Juice for a month. But darn if I don't want a dripping atty and to test out some RBAs and there is always new juice that pops up in conversation lol.

Maybe that is the ultimate gift of vaping, you learn to master willpower.

I think I have been relatively good in the spending category. In the first 2 months of vaping I think I only spent around 400. Maybe 350. Now in the past month I have spent almost 250 on analogs which makes me cringe everytime I think about it. Really struggling to get back to vaping full time, which I intend to probably at the conclusion of this week. Had a rather tragic death in my immediate family, so I am not beating myself up over it. Just hate spending the money on analogs when I want me a mechanical and getting into RBA's. Hopefully after a few weeks I can make up some ground and get that mechanical! Just gotta figure out which one I want.

Okay, now this just made me say "awww" and lol at the same time.
It makes me want to send you a sandwich.
Make sure you order citrus juice!
You know...for the Vit C and all.
Don't want you coming down with scurvy or sumthin...
HA!
I DO know what you guys mean, though.
AT first, I spent way WAY too much, but it has leveled off now and I'm actually saving.
My golden years are just around the corner, so things are looking up.
:D

Aw, shucks. Don't cry for me mysterious stranger. I'm sitting in front of 700ml of e-juice with 200 ft of wire and wick and three new RBAs. I might even be able to afford lunch next week.

As for the sammich...turkey and bacon with extra bacon and extra jalapenos please.:D

I love those moments inbetween of wanting a new type of battery/PV, where your content.. an the only things you look forward to is buying new flavor juices.. an some coil replacements

Then you come onto this forum... see some weird new mod with spikes an built to look like a rocket... an you might be smoking a provari... but you drop from vaping heaven cus you now want another mod... and then the moment of satisfaction turns into .. well it turns into wanting another mod.

Hard for me to say, I keep buying and I was feeling really guilty about it but then it occurred to me. I don't drink, gave up the other stuff, no soda, now no wheat... When ever I tried to quit smoking it seemed so unfair and yes I was and still am a whiner.

Now I have a new hobby, almost like wine tasting in many ways, so I made peace with it. I had to quit for health reasons, but I really feel like I get to have my cake and eat it too. And yes I vape cake type stuff since I can't eat anything with gluten :D

I also can't have gluten, isn't the cinnamon roll great...I feel like I'm cheating. Any other cake favors you can recommend?

I am probably an odd vaper. I ordered a rather large juice stash in February and have not spent one penny since. I am happy with my ProVari so I see no need for another mod. My AGA and Novas are working fine so no need to add to the collection.

I spent almost $300 when I ordered last but that has lasted me 3 months and I am still a few weeks away from needing to order anything. I do not have the collector's bug like many vapers get. My ProVari and Novas work so I see no need to buy anything else. I am not collecting mods.

It has been wonderful not spending any money to maintain my nicotine habit for months. I used to spend $6 a day. Now, $300 sets me up for 3 - 4 months. I used to spend that every other month.

It's been 6 weeks since I stopping smoking and started vapeing. The month of april I spent just under a grand, most of it on trail and error stuff. I think most of us do because we have no idea what to buy. I tried really hard this month not to spend anything but already I've spent a little over 500.00, but at least now it's on stuff that a like. The only thing that makes me feel better is not only did I quit smoking but my husband and two daughters also quit with all my loot. I going to try to go one month without spending, I'll let you know if I can do it.

I can definitely understand being so happy to quite cigarettes, then some people might go overboard. I can also this being a 'hobby' for some people, myself included. However, spending $500-$1,000 in ONE month seems absurd! Of course, what is absurd to one person, isn't the same for others. Everyone is different, and money really is just energy......if you don't feel that that is too much to spend on vaping, more power to you.

However, I do hope you aren't getting just caught up in the hype. With so many vendors, so many types of batteries , delivery devices, and e-juices.....I can understand how some people might be tempted to go overboard.

Keep in mind though, that despite all the people rushing to start their own vaping enterprise.....vaping really is just a nicotine delivery system more or less.......and one DOESNT need to spend massive amounts to find ones sweet spot.

I'm on my 2nd go for vaping, this time for good.....and i've spent $175 this month. This is my first month back, so I had to buy everything from scratch. Two batteries, 2 Evods, 1 kanger pro tank, a charger, some juice, some cartos, replacement heads, etc.
Even with getting everything I need, it was still well under $200.

I've set a limit for myself. $75/month from now on. It actually is extremely easy for me to set limits on how much to spend, and stick to them. I've never been one to buy compulsively, and I take my time in choosing which consumer goods I wish to purchase.

Part of the lure of vaping, besides the health benefits over cigs, to me, is being cost effective. I know personally I could NEVER be happy with spending even the SAME amount on vaping that I spent on cigs. I spent around $150/month on cigs......and I'm allowing myself to spend only HALF that (as I mentioned $75/month) on vaping. That is perfectly reasonable for me.....and it gives me plenty of breathing room to try new e-juices every month, and get whatever parts i need, with money left over.

Again, everyone is different :) Becareful not to get carried away , though

Wow. I feel much better about my spending. Keeping it from thirty to sixty a week. For me and my son. This week thirty plus ordering juice. Next week another kit so my son and I both have a full kit. Then lay low till July both our birthdays then. Big splurge.

Same, after reading this thread, I sure do feel a lot better about spending $75/month.

I'm the type of person of hardly EVER buys consumer goods......but when I DO buy something (PV, television, laptop, hiking stick, books, whatever), I make sure I get EXACTLY what I want. I often spend months researching and comparing different products in the same category.....and I am very careful before I finally purchase whatever consumer product I want.

I did that with vaping. At first, there was SO MUCH STUFF I was confused. Then I spent about 2-3 hours each DAY, for about a WEEK, studying and learning about the various assecories, products, etc.

I finally decided to try some eGo-Twist batteries, with an EVOD, and some cartos. I hated the cartos, LOVED the evod, and LOVE the Ego twist.

Now, I use the ego twists, 2 evods, and 1 kanger pro tank.

I HAVE enough money, to buy whatever I could want vaping wise. However, I am perfectly happy with my twists, evods, and pro tank. I have no reason whatsoever to keep searching when I've already found my sweetspot :)

That isn't saying maybe in a few months I won't try a carto tank, or perhaps get another battery or something......but for the most part, I don't see a reason to keep spending spending spending. Not to mention I have a 3 year old , I'd MUCH rather get him something cool, then buy vaping stuff when I dont really need it ;)

Like I said though, I do understand everyone is different :) Some people just have addictive personalities I think. Hey, if you can afford it, and it makes you happy, and you don't mind spending the money, more power to ya :)

I know the story well. When my doctor first mentioned vaping to me I found these forums and read a lot. I had seen the kiosks in the mall and I wasn't going to get ripped off and have to buy better gear. Nope, not me! I followed some recommendations and bought a Riva 1100 set up and some juice. Then I started worrying about being stranded if my Riva broke, so I bought another one and several attys, carts, a couple of cones and some more juice. Then I learned about cartos. I still have a couple of boxes of 50 that I haven't opened yet and the remainder of the one I opened. Then I discovered vv and big clouds of vapor. I picked up a vv box. Then I worried that I didn't have a spare, so I bought another. Then I discovered tanks and off I went again. Then a couple of tanks leaked badly at inopportune times, so I discovered bottom feeders. When I bought a vv Reo for my second bottom feeder, I figured I was finally done. Silly me. My RBA is in the mail. Meanwhile, I have drawers of juice that I have been meaning to try again.

My wife questions whether my sanity will return, but she is very happy to see vapor instead of smoke.

I started with the ego's enough for 4 people, than while being on this forum to figure out what juices to buy I had to have a provari ( how could I live without one) lol..than my husband kept stealing it so bought him one. Than of course I needed new tanks to go with them, but the first ones sucked so bought an assortment of new ones. Oh lets not forget all the diy supplies I bought, and still haven't made a juice that's great and the list goes on.

But I quit smoking and after 35 years 2 pad and I feel great, so I guess you can't put a price on that!!!!!

Same happened to me, my father passed in March and I've found myself smoking and not vaping. But vape when you're willing and don't beat yourself up for it. I'm not buying any more supplies until they die on me, same as replacing liquid when I start to run out.

I was like this the few first months, I had three twists and a PCC and was perfectly happy with it. But economic situation here is going beserk so I found myself wanting an RBA tank and extra supplies and liquid. Thankfully nothing happened and now I just have to buy to replace.

Plan ahead, the Twists have a 6 month life span. Keep one spare or plan on buying one, the reason I bought my first mod is that 2 Twists died on me the same month. I decided a mod to be more cost effective (just replacing batteries) than buying 3 Twists...
