I don't remember where I heard about e-cigs but I've been reading up on them for the last week or so and decided that the M-401 was a good all-around "beginner". Ordered a M-401 starter kit last week and yesterday. I woke up that morning, smoked a cigarette and then the mail arrived. I played with it and actually used up all the catridges that it came with. It felt a little weird at first and I think I over-did it because I got dizzy. First impreesions were really good though as I didn't smoke a regular cigarette at all that day. I even had a pack in my pocket, went to a bar were others were smoking and had a few drinks. Still didn't want to smoke! Since I'm out of cartridges (I think, the vapor is really light) I went back to regular cigarettes today. Don't worry, I have a 30ml vial of "Red Bull" 36mg liquid on it's way. All the vendors say that vaporizers are cheaper than traditional cigarettes but I beg to differ because I want to try EVERYTHING!!! I'm very happy I decided to try this as I hate smoking but cannot quit. Awesome invention!

Couple questions...

I smoke Malboro 27's; any flavor of liquid similar?
Will I mess up the atomizer on my M-401 by covering the four holes?
It seems to hit harder when I do.

Marlboro 27s are a coffee flavored cigarette. I prefer the Cappuccino flavors to the Coffee flavors so you might want to start there. But if you want a taste more similar to your old habit you might want to try mixing a Marlboro flavor with the Cappuccino to your taste. And yeah, make sure not to tighten that battery too tight. Those holes in your atomizer need to be able to breathe a little bit. I don't own a 401 so I'm not sure, but you might see 4 holes in the battery corresponding to the atomizer and it helps to line them up.

Well... it looks like I'll be buying tons of stuff for my new addiction/hobby. The Litecig VX2 looks nice. Thanks for the advice; I will give that a try.

I know everyone has their own suggestions, but I feel the need to make my own. I went through so much trouble with mods and parts trying to settle down and I'm really very happy with my 510. Nothing made it easier to quit.

I've heard good things about that model too. There should be a convention or a bar where one could try all the different models/ flavors. The 401 is designed where there is no way to block the 4 vents; they are built into the atty. I covered them up though and got a bigger "hit". Could that damage something?

I really don't want to say either way, because I don't own one I can't say for sure. But, I think the worry is really just about over-tightening the battery to the atomizer. Don't turn it until it can't possibly turn anymore and you should be okay.

I still want to learn about these battery mods, and the am trying different fillers for the carts.

Even though I cant compare it to anything else, its working out well, and getting better the more I learn.

Should not hurt it at all. Just keep the atty from getting dry. When it starts getting real hot it's time to take a short break and put a couple drops in.

Refilling your old carts is great money-saver, however the 36mg would keep me in the bathroom awhile, then in bed for awhile.....you may want some plain PG or VG so you can dilute it down some till you know where you're at with nicotine needs. Too much will make you woozey!

I also thought it a half decent idea. Not sure there are the numbers yet though. And would need 100s of moyhpieces ...
