Well I got my Volt in the mail last night and have been using it through out the day. I LOOOOOVE IT!! I have about 3/4 of a pack of cigarettes left that I was going to finish off before I commit to vaping, but with just the test drive I am going to just toss them in the trash. BYE BYE STINKIES!!! Now I only pray that my juice order comes in before I run out of the cartos that came with my volt.

I have already placed another order for the X2, which should be in hopefully by Saturday or Monday.

I've been enjoying the prefilled chocolate carto from SI right now and I really like it. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and even just using the chocolate vapor has satisfied my cravings for something sweet. With that being said it brought me to a thought. Has anyone used vaping as a weight loss/ craving control tool as well? Considering all the dessert and food flavored juices out there it would seem like something that would be possible.

Congratulations! It's great that you're enjoying your Volt and started on a wonderful vaping journey.
One thing I have noticed for myself is that some flavors do act as a hunger suppressant, especially anything with cinnamon or fruit flavors for me. I still eat at my regular meal times but I've found myself not snacking as much as I used to before started vaping.

That is something that I have been wondering myself....
I know that when I vape candy/sweet flavors I do not get an urge to eat them right after vaping...
and congrats MAMA!!
glad that you have found a wonderful flavor!
And later on, you might want to buy a juice and refill your own cartos, it can save you $$, but it is "kind of" a pain, I think it's worth it.

I have an order placed for about 13 different flavors to try out from ECBlend, as they were recommended in my previous post. I can't wait to get them but from everything I keep reading it seems it is best to let them "steep" for at least a week before vaping.

I can't wait to take my Volt to work tomorrow so I can show it off to all my smoke break buddies. Every one of us have been talking about quitting or trying to quit for months now. I'm hoping to start a movement haha.

Congrats! :)

I was also contemplating ordering some chocolate/vanilla/whatever flavor for sweets craving. This period of my life is "health oriented" in general, so during the past year or so, I've dropped from obese to normal category, started regular workouts (7 days a week, 1 hour minimum), and now it's time to tackle my "smelly sticks" habit.

In general, when I was starting my weight loss, any sweet smell would be good enough to satisfy cravings for sweets. The things I used were flavored lip gloss, scented candles, etc.

I wish you all the luck in efforts to kick bad habits with vaping :)

I will tell you that not all flavors need to steep, try them right out of the mailer, if they taste fine, go for it, if they are weak or taste "funny" let them steep, the dragon flavors from ecblends NEED to steep for shoot dang near a month!! After they steep they are creamy and just wow, and I really hope that you can convert people, smoking is such an awful habit, and if we can help others that want it, awesome, keep in mind, there will be people that will give you trouble, just ignore them.
And Lana, when it comes to flavors to help you curb your cravings, there are so many, plus, have you heard of Nhalers lung juice?

i have a sample on the way, and since it sounds like you are into being healthy, this might be right up your alley.

Congrats, that's exactly how I felt when I started vaping. To answer your question, yes, vaping helped me tremendously with weight loss. Around the time I started vaping, I was looking into a lot of things to help me change lifestyle habits. So, I ended up going on a juice fast (where you juice fresh fruits and vegetables, and don't eat any solid foods). Some of my friends would joke and try to tempt me with foods, but I wasn't tempted because I had all the flavor I needed in calorie free vapor form. I lost about 15 lbs during the week I fasted (weird to call it a fast, because I was never that hungry, just drank my juice whenever I wanted), and the week after, I continued to lose about a pound a day, just because I wasn't tempted to snack, or eat junk food. Now my weight seems to have leveled off. I'm eating much healthier foods, so I don't seem to be gaining any of the weight back. When I got off the fast, I tried some of the junkier foods again, and my body just rejected them. They made me feel terrible. Now, I have that bad reaction to junk foods seared into my brain, combined with the ability to vape all sorts of delicious flavors whenever I want, and I'm not tempted at all to eat junk. I feel years younger, have better energy from eating healthier, and I like myself again. Vaping is awesome.

what an excellent way to lose weight!
Glad that it worked for you, and that you kept off the weight. Also, how you said that after being off of junk food so long, and then trying it later you felt your body rejecting it, I feel that is how it is with smoking. I have no urges to smoke, and after 10 days smoke free,i tried a drag just to see, and OMG it was awful ,i mean ... I smoked these for years?!?! ewww!!! I even did that silly tounge wipe thingie lol
i have even been left with a dead battery and have not been tempted :)
So, i am pretty sure that our bodies would reject ciggys...
Then again, if we think about it, in the beginning our bodies where trying to, we just didn't listen

Thanks! Yeah, it's weird to think about all the crap we put into our bodies (or used to). It's so nice to have an alternative to tobacco that completely alters the way we think about it. When I started vaping, I knew I was never going back. After 18 years of smoking/chewing, this was revolutionary for me.

Thanks! This is very interesting thing - the only issue might be: if it is delivered to my God forsaken corner of Earth (Eastern Europe).

Even in my country, there are 20+ e-juice flavors available in other-than-tobacco aroma varieties. In general, particular smells curb cravings for particular stuff (e.g. chocolate), while citrus fruits are said to curb appetite in general. I know it is totally off-topic, but my Coco Mademoiselle perfume does the same for me (maybe because it was a reward for milestone achieved, idk).

Congrats on getting rid of the analogs, OP!

I have heard a lot of people having success curbing their snacking cravings with their PV and tasty juices, I know with almost 5 months in I hardly snack at all anymore. In fact, when reading through the forum posts or hanging out in the chat room, sometimes I forget to eat at all, lol.

I hope you can get some of your 'smoke break buddies' on vaping as well! As you'll soon find out, they would feel sooo much better once they make the switch!
