Hello fellow ECF members,
First off, let me start by saying that I think this forum is great and full of a lot of knowledgeable and friendly people. I’m grateful for how everyone is so willing to help! What’s most important to me in vaping is a good flavor, not too strong, and plumes of vapor! I don’t care about throat hit, and dislike the stingy liquids with too much throat hit.
So here is my story: smoked analogs from 2001-2010. My first E-cig was from a company called In-Life. Their’s is a pretty standard e-cig, with non-refillable cartos that you purchase in packs of 10. All in all, I was not disappointed with their product. The batteries seemed to last pretty long, and their “standard” flavor was absolutely delicious. It still is and will be until I find another, the best flavor I have vaped yet. It’s almost like a citrus, netural, smooth tobacco flavor… hard to describe.
Anyway, I stopped using them for a while, because I was spending a ton of money and started to get faulty cartridges that would only last for maybe 10 puffs. I tried Green Smoke and needless to say, I ended up returning that one in less than a week.
So here is where I am at now: Bought a Joye 510 and used it for maybe a week before deciding to purchase a Joye Ego. I love the Ego because I can go all day without charging it, and it seems to have a little more power which yields bigger hits. I use the Boge 510 cartomizers, and have gone through about 5-6 packs of those with a little disappointment. Some seem to work great, while others seem to be impossible to vape through. The pack of low resistance ones I got worked great though.
As far as liquid, I have tried about 10 different flavors from “high caliber liquids”. Only 2 of those were tolerable or tasted anything close to what they were advertised as. I just ordered 3 bottles of BackWoods Brew juice, but I think I am having issues with crummy quality cartomizers. I don’t have any empty ones left, so I’ve tried cleaning some that I know worked well and will give it another shot once they dry out.
So I guess the more important questions I have for everyone is… What do you recommend I do/use to improve my vaping experience? Should I use a drip tip, if so which one and what types of attys work best with the Joye Ego. Do the tank systems work well? Should I be throwing my cartomizers out instead of cleaning them? Should I ditch the ego all together and go with a better mid-level device? I’m open to any and all suggestions… Money is not really an issue because I want to slowly try different things until I find the best setup.
:p

For ease of use the eGo with the mega eGo atomizers and cartridges are good - easy to fill and the capacity of the B type/cylinder carts are 2.5ml and should last you for hours - maybe even four hours without refill - ymmv. The tanks are newer and while I like them and haven't had a problem some have reported some problems. Best to check out the eGo-t threads to see how people handle them. There are some fixes out there if you have the patience.

The other option is the mega eGo cartos - but they are somewhat harder to fill but have the same capacity as the 2.5ml carts and will last quite a while. I don't care what product you choose - there will always be people that have great success with them and other that don't - you'll hear more from the negatives as that's the nature of the way forums go. But it is best to try something out yourself - if you have problems, ask - someone most likely experienced the same and either quit or went on to fix the problem. Persistence as in anything else pays off for ecigs as well.

As for e-liquid, I'm surprised that Kent didn't mention his beloved Decadent Vapours from Totally Wicked. Myriad unique flavors, most non-tobacco.

Based on your comment about the "citrus, netural, smooth tobacco flavor… hard to describe" flavor of those In-Life cartos, I wonder if you might like Hypnotic Mist (a Flavour Art flavor described by Osmitty and available from various suppliers, e.g., FreedomSmokeUSA) ... or Oba-Oba from Vapor Bomb and as described by zadane.
