I'll give you my 2 cents for what it's worth. I started vaping on Dec. 29 so I still have lots to learn. I have an ego and I tried the carts. Despite every trick I could find on this forum I just could not get much flavor out of them. I had the XL cart and attys because I wanted to cut down on having to refill. I then bought the Ego cartomizers. These are sort of a pain to fill. You have to pop off two pieces and then puncture a hole in a certain place inside the carto and then fill with a syringe. Sounds like a real pain but after you get the hang of it, it's not that hard. The taste is much better. However, now I've found that the atty is burning a pin size hole in the side of the plastic despite rotating between two egos when I vape so I'm sort of back to square one. I got some Boge 2.0 cartomizers and these are easy to fill but they don't hold as much but the juice tastes pretty good using these. I've finally gone to the ego tank. The taste from these is great but I've only been using them a couple of weeks. I know they don't hold much juice and it seems like I'm going through a lot more juice than before but they are easy to fill and so far no leaking. I guess from my experience I would recommend the Boge 2.0 cartos or buying the tank atomizer and carts for your Ego. I still am not completely satisfied and have decided the vaping process has a huge learning curve and at first is quite expensive because you are chasing a good vape. I did not like dripping. Too much fussing for me although I think for a lot of people this is the preferred method. Bottom line is you have to keep trying new stuff until you find your sweet spot. For me I think that may be a juice fed mod but just not ready to give up on the ego yet. Good luck to you BD and just don't go back to the analogs. You are not stupid. You are quite normal so don't be so hard on yourself. Good luck darlin. Keep reading and asking questions and you will get there.

I'm new too and I'm getting the hang of it...have you watched MistressNomads videos (for broke newbies)? Those helped me a lot, and I've spent a lot of time watching youtube videos as well. I got the burnt taste with my current super minis and I cleaned them in vinegar per instructions on a youtube video and that totally got rid of the taste...but your atty may be quite different than mine, so do some research on cleaning your brand. We'll figure it out!! Best of luck!

You can try soaking your bad attys in some near-boiling water - put the water in a bowl and drop the attys in and use a tongs or something to make sure all the air bubbles are out. Soak for 15-20 min, scoop some of the water through to rinse them out. You can repeat if they don't look clean. Then blow them out and let them dry thoroughly (can be sped up with a blow dryer).

Thank you everyone for the pointers... I will keep trying. I did clean my old attys last night, and tried to use one of them this morning.... didnt pan out so well. But I refuse to buy a pack of cigarettes... I just won't. I do think part of the taste is the Blueberry I got. Can the XL atty's and carts hinder the taste? Hummm. Again, THANK YOU!!!! :) I'll let y'all know how it works out!!!!!

What did you clean them with? If it was isopropyl alcohol, you have to blow the stuff out, then let what's left evaporate (otherwise your vape will taste like rubbing alcohol—not yummy). Better to soak them for 5-10 minutes or so just before you go to sleep, then let them dry out overnight.

In any event, don't blame the horrible taste on the eGo. An eGo, in essense, is just a battery. Everything else has to do with your atomizer (or cartomizer) and the liquid you're using.

I would strongly suggest trying an LR atty (i.e., low resistance), and dripping. There's a lot of controversy about LR attys cutting into the lifespan of your batteries (both the amount of time between charges and the number of times they'll accept a charge), and they will, of course. But they made my experience with eGo/Riva types at least marginally acceptable.

Try everything. Poke around in here, read posts about this cartomizer and that juice and these atomizers. Consider it a voyage of discovery. You'll get there.

Thank you!!! I did soak them in rubbing alcohol, for 15 minutes, but did not blow it out. I guess that should just be the norm. :) I do love my eGo... I love 'vapping', just wishing I could get the hang of it. I know that I'll get there... one day. bahahaaa. I did think of maybe dripping, but right now, I'm not too sure I'm ready for that, I'd probably mess up my atty's, given that I can't seem to catch on to the simple ways of using a cart. Can you say HOT MESS over here!

Can you explain the tank to me? Can I just buy that part, and use it with my reg. eGo?

I is a different kind of atty that has a 1ml tank that you fill up with no filler in it, push it down into the atty similar to how you would a cart. The atty has a syringe like tube that goes into the tank allowing juice to flow to the heating coil. It will replace the cone and atty that you have. It is shaped like the cone already. It works far better than carts. Would probably be a good idea. Bare in mind like all things around here you may need to do some adjusting to get it working perfectly. Good luck.

Is there a certain LR atty I should get?

These are good ones: IKV LR 510 2.0Ω Atomizer. At 2.0 Ohms, they're low enough to give a good, strong vape, yet not so low as to fry batteries.

Sometime in the near future, when you get your vaping legs under you—that'll be soon—you might want to look longingly at one of these: Infinity. Variable voltage is the next logical step after competence, and you'll never want to go back.

In the meantime, take your eGo as far as it'll take you.

Well I've taken my eGo as far as it will go, and I have my eye on that copper Infinity.

Can anyone tell me how long the battery will last between charges?

*Edit
I see 650 mah, that'll work!
Looking for more info or a review though =D Anybody else have one?
