Hey everyone, im 27 years old and a taxi driver from the UK so smoking to me just comes with the job really with all the time i wait on the ranks for work. Nothing i like more than ranking up and going for a ciggie with the other drivers having a chin wag. Last night one of the drivers was smoking an e-cig, and of course i asked 1000 questions.

So i decided to give it a go, went and bought a jasper jasper 16mg disposable ecig for £5.50. i must say brilliant, i actually prefer puffing away on this elec cig than the real thing. Although i puffed so much i had used the whole thing in 3 hours lol.

So the next step now is to buy the proper kit with all the recharges, refills etcetc.

So this is where i need some help, i have only ever been able to smoke strong cigarettes because i need to feel the hit on the back of my throat the roughness so to speak. Im used to smoking EMBASSY NO.1 as these are very strong on my throat, so im asking you guys if you have ever smoked Embassy to recommend me the best ecig to go for reagarding a closest hit i can get to an embassy, this jasper jasper 16mg is definately not enough hit for me :) but i can say this could be a miracle in my life and get me back to playing sports again :)

These are still relevant and you will learn the basics:

excellent, nice fast response :) looks good apart from i dont want to press a button i want to get as close to the natural smoking experience as i can. I been looking online so many starter kits to choose from, i dont know what to choose, iwould prefer white also obviously as its the same colour as a cigarette. Just need that right throat hit

Welcome , but steer clear of the Greensmokes . They work OK , but are very expensive, and last time I checked , the carto's were not refillable . Hopefully , you will get over the size thing . Cause as is said . The closer it looks like the real thing , the worse the performance . Bigger batteries = more throat hit , and vapor .

looks like ive narrowed it down to greensmoke

No, no, no, no. A friend of mine bought a Greensmoke and they are way over priced.

If you must get something that resembles a cigarette look into the Volt. I've never tried one but they are highly recommended on here when it comes to the cigarette looking ones. FWIW, get a manual one. Pressing the button becomes second nature very quickly.

Hiya. I used Greensmoke and went to Smokeless Image Volts. You have a range of colours to choose from with Volts - white if you want. They are slimmer than Greensmoke but don't lack in power. Good size for a taxi driver - just pop it into a pocket. Oh - and you could prolly vape in the taxi when you are going to pick up a fare - no smell. :D They have automatics, which are sealed so they are liquid resistant. I would recommend you also get the PCC = personal carrying case. Then you can have one batt charging while using the other. And for a taxi - a car charger. I don't know about what flavour juice to recommend tho. I'm into the milder flavours now. Good luck with it.

Forget the movies. They're cool and all but what you need is to pick the brain of someone who's been there, and not 2 years ago with ancient information. How about 7+ months of information in a tiny one page blog? Catch up with a quickness! Hit the easy button!

Scott Bonner, Igetcha69, is cool. You can also check out GrimmGreen, PBusardo, and Estarra on youtube as well for all your vaping review needs.

If you HAVE to have a cig look alike, Volt is heads above anything like Greensmoke, Blu, V2 etc. The battery will last longer, it's cheaper, and the customer service is excellent!

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Basic Starter Kit - Starter Kits

Be sure to get one of the starter kits that offers TWO batteries. And a manual battery will last longer than an automatic.

If you don't have to have a cig sized device, you'll be better off. If something about the size of a Sharpe is ok with you than the Twist or KGO are both excellent choices. The KGO is a set voltage device, whereas on the Twist, you can adjust the voltage to some degree.

Elite Vaporworks KGO Starter Kit with Boge LR Cartomizers - KGO

On either on the last two devices, one battery will last you all day.

thanks everyone for all the great info. As a newbie i have grabbed the greensmoke starter kit with "red label full strength" only because i here good stuff about the red label being very vapury and strong on your throat from a woman of 68 years old whos been smoking heavily for over 55 years :)

If i dont like it for some reason i am in a more than able position to just move to another brand, but for the £5.50 ive already spent on the disposable resulting in me not smoking in the past 24 hours including the £69 for the greensmoke kit is a very small price to pay to not missing a real cigarette.

I will update the thread when it arrives and let you know how i feel about it, greensmoke is slightly more expensive granted for the starter kit itself. But the carts are similar price to v2 and many others, so i have no quarrels so far.

looks like ive narrowed it down to greensmoke or V2 , can anybody give any opinions on which you think is better for me regarding my first post

I have both, i would recommend the GreenSmoke with absolute tobacco out of these two brand, the battery is not the best though but it is a nice start. the absolute tobacco is the closest you can get to real smoking in my opinion. you actually can buy a better and cheaper battery that would work with the greensmoke flavors, known as 808-D2 or just D2. Others call it an E9 and you can buy them from LeCig.com and then you can buy the absolute tobacco. i know it is a hassle but believe me it is a much better battery and cheaper than the ones than greensmoke sells.

I also have the volt and it is by far the best cig look alike and I would recommend it. you can buy it from smokelessimage.com

Update: I see I am a bit late in my response, however, i really recommend trying the Absolute tobacco instead of the red label.
