I'm really trying, but I'm getting discouraged by leaking, gurgling, etc...

I had the same issue when starting out vaping. Ever since I switched to my Vision Spinner with my PT2 I haven't had any leaking issues. I just today got an aerotank base for my protank and absolutely love it. Being in the retail business myself i know that sometimes you just get bad equipment. It happens just don't give up. I am currently 3 months analog free after 14 years of at least a pack a day. I can't even stand the smell of a cigarette now. Just keep trying you will find something that works. Like somebody said nothing is perfect and sometimes you do have to mess with them to get them to work right. Try buying a 5 pack of new coils sometimes a new coil will fix the issue if you get actual KangerTech products.

Go out and buy a carto tank with some punched cartos and use it!
It may not give you the most vapor or the best flavor out there but you bet your sweet ... it will work:)

I think this is great advice.

I don't use cartos or clearos anymore, but cartos were the most reliable when I started vaping. Stick with what works with the least amount of hassle when you first start vaping. Don't let yourself get discouraged and don't go chasing clouds. Anything that keeps you from cigarettes is what matters most. In time you'll learn so much and be able to fine tune your equipment and liquid that suits you best. There is a learning curve, but any learning curve is worth it if it avoids lung cancer down the road.

I have a few decent carto tanks and cartos laying around that I don't use anymore. PM me if you're interested and I'll send them your way. The tanks are not pyrex (Mom & Pops tanks), and the cartos go back to Boge-gate, but you could probably get an idea of how they work. I'll even punch the cartos if you'd like. Just don't use acidic liquids in the tanks and know that 4 out of 5 cartos may be duds. I think the recent ones are better now ;)

Greetings all!

First post here and I've been vaping for about 2 weeks now. Here in Southwest Florida, we have a TON of new vape shops that have opened in the past year. I'm not sure whos scammers, and uses sells chinese crap, or whos a good reputable one. I'm slowly finding that out.

I have an EVOD starter kit, battery, device. It seems I've gone through three disposable clearomizers, a reusable clearomizer, with the coil packs that go into the clearomizer, (kanger T3-s Coils2.2 ohm 5) and it's constantly gurgling, clogging, leaking, getting the juice in my mouth, etc. I'm about to go back to smoking!!!! It was much easier!!!!!
When I bought the 5 pack of replacement coils, the guy told me to use my fingernail to push down this TINY little wire that comes out from the bottom of the coil thing... I cant even see one! But he says thats whats causing the leaks. 12.99 down the drain.

I know I want a Vision Spinner,(a better device) but I'm going to get into these stupid problems again with the tank. (Clearomizer) I eventually want a mod, and it seems to me that dripping my just be the thing that works for me.. I ....in hate these Clearomizers. Should I just go onto an actual tank? I don't know!!!!

My question is what do I do???? How do I get this clogging and gurgling to stop? I swear I try and not get the juice into the hole, but it seems that I always do.,..or it leaks, the thing gurgles, and trying to blow it out, I hurt my cheeks. Like when you blow up a balloon and your jaw muscles ache...GOD, that ....ing HURTS!!! I cant stand it. I hate these things. AM i just buying crap? Am I ....ing it up somehow on filling it?

Thanks,

~Pirate

First and foremost vaping is more like puffing on a pipe than anythiny cig.
Pipes are lose and require nice slow hot puffs.

So does vaping nice slow long drags with hot burning coils.

So first is what coil ohms and what voltage are you vaping at??

Next and possibly better....

I will never buy another kanger protank system
The protank 2's are complete garbage. They leak BAD no matter what you do.
Through the coil stem and or around it.
The newer designed base cap you can buy stopped the leaking around the coil but they leak, still, extremely badly right down through the center of the wick/coil. And frankly i am done with kanger for ever. At least their bottom coil systems.

Gurgling doesnt always mean leaking. It just means a nice wet wick. Usually overly wet but a hot burning system will burn it right off. And a properly sealed coil will prevent it from leaking.
Gurgling can be from sucking too hard also.

Spitting in your mouth is the overly wet wicks but also a little of the sucking too hard.

The protank 2 mini does too but not nearly as bad.

Here is my suggestion having tried both stules.....

Go by a few of the tanger T2 tanks and a coil pack.

They are a double wick (not dual coil) top coil tank system.
This is who Halo buys and designs they Triton system from.

Do you get more vapor and flavor from a bottom dual coil tank system. ?
That is totally subjective... But the T2 styles work FLAWLESSLY and almost never leak, you have to over fill the T2 past the wicks to make it leak or be using a wick that should have been replaced already.
The T2 Are a single piece tank system (just unscrew the coil wick and clean and replace... Thats it.

They are about $4.50 at discountvapors and the 5 pack of coils is similar.
This is 1/3rd to 1/2 the cost of the halo triton system and they work on ANY eGo style battery or 510/ego battery.
The t2 tank is ego so you need a battery system that has traditional ego threading.

I just got the wife a few so she could use the 1300mah vision spinner i got her and finally move away from the highly over priced halo triton system.

I suggest you spend a few bucks and get atleast 1 tank.. Try it.

Alternately i myself just got the Aspire BDC tank so am eager to try it.
Its coil/wick system is very unique and very similar to atomizers but also has a wick and coils so i can see where this thing just may never leak or atleast be very hard to make leak.

An alternate top coil system is the Innokin iclear 16 or iclear 30
The 30 is a tough draw meaning you have to suck harder but it wont spit or leak on you because of its wick design. Or atleast it didnt happen to me.

Anyways i would start with the kanger t2 system and see what you think... For $4.50 you have nothing to lose.

If you bought ypur gear at a local shop you NEED to go right back there and tellt hem to shove it... Err.. Take it back and show them how bad its leaking and get a different tank system.

How To: Fix Kanger EVOD leaking/gurgling issues | Deus Ex Vaporis

This is working for me!!! I added that extra silicone, and yes! It works again! Thank you!!!

By the way, when I bought the replacement coils, they were in the box that said kanger... BUT the package inside, the aluminum foil backed pill indentations were opened! The foil had already been opened on ALL 5 indentations. Do you think they could have gotten cheap ones and replaced the originals with these chinese knockoffs? Could be...

Lestat, thanks for the reply, and yes, I was getting much more vapor and flavor with the bottom coil clearomizer. Thats why I want it to work!!!

Thanks for all the replies, and I'm slowly weening myself off the analogs...slowly but surely. When stuff works, it makes it much easier.

There is a strong possibility that your Kanger heads were swapped out for cheap knockoffs! If the foil on the blister packs was already opened, then this is BAD. I'd contact your supplier and raise hell. That is terrible customer service and really icky if you ask me. Glad you got your heads working, but you should at least get a refund if your blister pack was already opened.

Just 2 cents: I have EVODs (6), T3s minis (3), ARO BCCs (2), iSmoka minis (8), iSmoka Megas (3), Joye CCs (10) and various cheap no-name swap-meet clearos. None of them gurgle unless I do something wrong. You already got good advice and I'm just adding some info to show it may not be your equiment.

Edit: I just noticed the thread header so adding: None of them leak either unless there's a big altitude change since I filled them or an extreme temperature change or I caused it over filling or improperly drawing and flooding the atty which, of course, will produce "gurgling" also.... user error.

My personal opinion is that the Protanks are way overrated and really not worth the effort. I have replaced the heads and rebuilt them. They are great right out of the gate and then they all just get worse. They eventually gurgle and leak.

The reason I wanted the PT was for the Pyrex vs the plastic tank. About 2 months ago, I added an iClear30 tank to an order to get the free shipping. I have had zero issues with it. I put it on my Provari and haven't looked back. Yes, my Kayfun Lite + gives a better vape but not a $90 better vape over the iClear.

All I use anymore are EVOD's (original and fastech knock offs----both work the same).
The protanks and mini are in storage---they are terrible IMO.
My EVOD's don't leak or gurgle and work the way they should all the way to empty.

I do make my own micro coils for them (1.5 to 2.0 ohms) and use cotton for the wick and use two flavor wicks on top.

Have never used a tank---maybe some day---but I found what works for me and will stick with them for now.

How much altitude change? I regularly go from 500ft to over passes of 3000+ to 2000 or so and back in a day. Temp wise, of course in summer the temp change will be 80 inside to 120+ outside.

I can't say enough great things about the Halo Triton! I've been vaping for about a month now and it has gotten all 10's from just about every angle. It truly does not leak at all,and it very rarely gurgles, (the few times it has, it was because I either dropped it or over filled the tank, but because they use a unique design with their atty and tank, you just blow down the tip and it clears it right out). It's a very solid and sturdy design and it cost the same as the other brands too, if not less expensive. You can get the starter kit with everything you need to set yourself up for a good month (minus the e juice) for around $60...and thats 2 of everything except chargers. We got the sample pack of e juice with 6 sample flavors of our choice for about 20 bucks I think.
My husband had been ready to get off analogs and make the switch to e cigs for months but he was not going get anything less than the best. He put a good month at least into research before settling on the Triton and now I'm so glad he was so diligent and picky with his decision! I've herd so many people getting very frustrated with tank issues and cartos using other brands and I just cant stress enough how awesome the triton has been! There is virtually zero maintenance with this mod. And the battery lasts considerably longer than my friends who have double the maH! We got the 650 maH. I use mine pretty much constantly throughout the day and I usually get two days per charge and the tank is a good size as well...It holds 2.4ml which also lasts me around two days.

So anyway, sorry for my over excitement with halo  I do excited about my stuff! Hehe;)

Let us know how it goes and I'd love to hear what you decide on :toast: Happy vaping my fellow vapers:vapor:
