Hello all; my "handle" is Seebs. It's what my non-hispanic friends from other boards that I frequent call me since my real name "Sebas -> Short for Sebastian" sounded a lot like the salt water fish when they said it. So we went with Seebs instead of Seabass.

Smoked the "cancer sticks" for the better part of my adult life, tried to quit a few times and failed. That was until I found the great world of eCigs. I had seen them and heard about them for a long time now, but I always dismissed them as gimmicky and kept on puffing away with my cowboy killers. That all changed about three weeks ago at a party; I ran into an old "smoking" friend and he had a V2 disposable with him for the night. I asked him about it and he started singing me the praises of "vaping" and how it had helped him give up the analogues. The morning after; I ordered me a starter kit from V2, got it delivered two days later and the rest is history. I haven't touched an analogue since then and have not had a single problem with cravings or any other ill effects.

My V2 is still going strong and I like it a lot, but we all know how things start and how if something is worth doing it's even better when overdoing it. I've already ordered me an eGo-T kit and some juices and can't wait to get them home so I can see what real vaping feels like. :)

So I've been doing a lot of research lately, watching tons of reviews and tutorials, visiting tons of forums and asking questions... All those roads have led me here and I'm thankful for it.

So this is my introduction. I'm a big noob at this whole "vaping" thing, but I learn fast and my brain is kind of wired to always make me want to dig deeper into whatever new "thing" gets my attention. My "obsession" has been computers and overclocking them for the past few years and I'm sure that I will get just as involved in this new one as I am with that one.

PS: I saw the yellow note at the top about the FDA and went in and submitted my comments to the regulations.gov site.

Well... That's it for tonight. I'm tired and it's time for bed.

Seebs out.

Congrats on making the switch and your new hobby!

Thanks... I'm quite happy with the switch. It's a bit overwhelming though. Back in the "analogue" world; I just got the classic Mbro Reds and stuck with them from day one. But this whole vaping thing is way more complicated. Take the eGo-T I ordered; I got it because I saw reviews of it and people raved on how simple to use and how it just worked and how it was a great "noob" unit. But once I ordered it; I started wondering and now I'm thinking: Should I have gone with the eGo-C? Should I have gone with a VV unit? Oh well. Pretty soon I'll have more "vaping" gear than I'll ever need. It's a condition I have and there is no cure for it. :)

If you are like most of us this is going to be one expensive hobby ;)

My other "hobby" consists of strapping a seven pound copper container on to a CPU, filling said container with liquid nitrogen and then pushing insane amounts of voltage through that CPU to make it go faster (extreme overclocking)... I think I'll be OK with "vaping"; at least with this one there is no risk of having a $1K CPU explode in a cloud of blue smoke while you're running a test. :)

Hello Seebs from a fellow noob. This is very similar to how I got here as well, although I haven't purchased equipment yet.

A warm welcome to you Seebs. Lots of experienced folks here to answer any questions!

You mentioned something about the ego-c and yes, it is quite good; however, once you decide to upgrade, I would go with a variable voltage device. Once of the easiest for a newbie would be a Joyetech Twist or a Vision Spinner; along with a vivi nova or CE5 atomiser IMHO!

I think you will love vaping as a hobby :) If you like fiddling with things, RBA (rebuildable attomizers) may be for you!
