So this is the second package this week that was "Delivered" except I didn't get anything. Today was my Kanthal wire. I've been looking so forward to trying rebuilds all week.

I live in an apartment/condo complex with no main office. So someone else receives my stuff and either keeps it or trashes it.

I've called before and I called USPS today.

They'll look into it.

Ugh, just ...... off. I spend so much time researching online, and I spend my limited funds on things I would like. Then I wait for the mail. To be delivered to someone else. 2 out of 3 packages this week were delivered elsewhere and no one has brought my stuff. I get other people's mail all the time, and I hand deliver each and every one.

Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest. Now I need to buy more wire and wait ANOTHER WEEK because some overpaid, over-pensioned mail carrier can't do their job. It's no wonder they're going under. UPS doesn't make these mistakes.

I would suggest you call your local post office and ask for the post master directly. This should correct your problem instantly with mis-delivered mail. Don't settle for just a supervisor though. Also a personal visit is more effective than just a phone call. I would make sure to file claims on both packages also as this will be documented for future problems you might have with a specific carrier. Sucks you don't have good neighbors in addition to a lazy mail carrier.

I would love an "attempted delivery" notice instead of someone else getting it and either keeping it or trashing it. At least you'll get your stuff. But yea, they should have put that in the box! I just don't understand USPS. I'm at the point where I wont do business with a company that only ships USPS....

Just last month my wife ordered an adapter for her phone cable. The envelope came ripped open and adapter missing. I told the supplier and he sent again. Same thing the second shipment. Envelope opened and product missing.

I got the "attempted delivery" notice today. It was only two Rocket clones from FT which would have easily fit in the mailbox, plus the fact I was home at the time. Their delivery attempt was not too robust.

Anything I've ever ordered from fasttech I have had to go down to my local post office and conformation delivery sign for it, but i'm Canadian but assuming american postal service does the same thing.

Not USPS, sounds like your CARRIER. Call after 3pm or before 8 am before he goes out on his route, ask him where he is delivering these things.

Some people live in places where the mailboxes are very confusing, esp. apartment complexes.

Your mailboxes don't have a key / locked?

I usually use my PO box......totally secure.......even though I get mail down at the road at my house, I worry that people will steal something, or stuff willl get wet, etc. It's very cheap to have a PO box. :)

I am receiving vape mail for 16 months, plus I am on a book swap, a DVD swap, and a CD swap, and mail out books on Amazon and out of over 1,800 packages (sent stuff and received stuff) USPS has only lost 2 pieces over a period of 6 years. :) One was ripped but that was the vendor's fault, they packaged it badly.

I love USPS.

Your situation sounds like another tenant is stealing your stuff and/or your complex has a very poorly designed mail receiving system/mailbox kiosk?

Yea, PO box it is. No mailboxes etc out here.

No one is stealing from my box as they're locked with key. The carrier is putting my stuff in someone elses box and no one is honest enough to bring it over. They just keep it. Not sure what someone is gonna do with 25 feet of Kanthal today but it sure looks like they're gonna keep it once again.

I have a different situation. My mail carrier has been my mail carrier for over 10 years. We have moved several times in this neighborhood (flipped houses when economy and real estate was better), he always finds me. I live in Florida. A few months ago I had a package stuck in a PA post office for almost2 weeks; emailed USPS and it was in my mail box 2 days later. Now I am waiting for package from a vendor in Tampa (2 hrs away) that has "departed sorting facility" in Tampa 3 days ago. Tampa is only 2 hours away! Used to get Florida shipped to Florida mail in 2 days. Have to wait 10 days before reporting a problem, hopefully it will be here either tomorrow or early next week. And it isn't even near Christmas yet!

It is ironic. Before I started vaping, I had a very negative attitude about the USPS. But since I have started vaping I have had exceptionally good service and they have yet to let me down in 18 months.

I certainly sympathize with the OP and his predicament here, though. I hope they get you straight.

Sounds like you really do need to contact the Post Master General in the area. Like said in a earlier post. Don't bother with the local supervisor contact the PMG in Boulder. The contact # should be easy to find in the yellow pages or google.

I had a $1000 watch being delivered one time and took the day off from work to be here when it arrived. Heard the carrier outside in the building mailbox and walked out on the deck. He was walking away and I asked him if he had a package for me...." Nope, not today " and I said that it showed online that it was out for delivery. He said...." Um, um, I left you a notice because it is at the post office" and I asked what it was doing there if he left me a notice of attempted delivery. He said ..." Let me see if it in my truck " , so I walked out there and sure enough there it was. He was to damn lazy to Cary the box 100' and then carry it back because he thought I was at work. Granted, it was a decent size box but still. If you leave a attempted delivery notice then attempt to deliver.

I have since befriended him and the UPS man. The UPS man and I traded cell phone #'s and he calls me and ask if I want him to toss the packages up on my deck. The USPS carrier now knows what vehicle I drive and will leave a notice if he doesn't see my truck outside.

UPS doesn't make these mistakes.

Jim

I am very sorry this happened to you and I completely understand your frustration. I would be just as upset, if not, more than you are if this happened to me.

BUT....

UPS does make these kinds of mistakes too. I once ordered 2 air filters at $200 a piece ($400 total) and waited as I sat on my couch the day they were supposed to be delivered and they never were. I later checked the tracking and it said delivered. I checked everywhere outside and nothing. I called UPS and they basically said 'Too Bad!' and called me a liar. It took many phone calls to UPS talking to supervisors of supervisors over the course of about two weeks for them to do anything and made me have to sign for every single package that I ever had delivered to that house from then on. Talk about an inconvenience.
