I am SO proud of myself. Met some folks for Happy Hour at our watering hole and made it just fine. I was SO nervous because all of my friends smoke. I showed up, disposable cig in hand, shocked all my friends, drank a few and went home. I did not cave! Of course, all of them were in utter shock because this girl LOVED her cigarettes! I had no problem hanging out with them, no awful cravings, nothing. I went on and on about the Triton that was on its way. I think I may have even convinced a couple to at least try it my way. Just had to share! You all are my new non-smoking, vape only, family.

We are all in this together. We are Halon.

It won't be long before the stinkies smell makes your stomach churn. I can smell it from a quarter mile away now, I swear.

I always keep a couple of those cardboard business card looking things that you get with each order in my wallet. Unfortunately, nobody has inquired so I haven't had the pleasure of handing one out yet... or maybe I'm just too adept at the art of stealth vaping. :D

I was NO nervous because I hadn't told any of them I quit. I was so surprised when they were so impressed. All of them seemed so jealous. I told them all they could do it. I smoked from age 16 to 49. It CAN be done.....I did give credit to vaping as well as sheer determination and willpower. I also told them had it not been for ECF this week I would have never made it. I love this place and literally owe my success so far to this forum.

I wasn't too sure BUT, it's a Friday afternoon thing and I didn't want to crap out on them. We've been meeting every Friday afternoon for years. I literally talked myself up the whole way there. I was bound and determined that I would not cave in. It felt so empowered when I paid my tab and walked out.

YAY!!! I was super nervous about quitting but I was so excited when my Triton got here that it didn't even cross my mind to smoke any more analogs, in fact I gave away a pack and a half because I didn't want them. I go around to all the sites I can find looking at gear, juices, accessories, and information and I find myself looking down at the clock like "Oh geeze it has been 4 hours already?"

I also find myself stepping outside to take a few puffs on my triton while all the friends suck in their tar... It is so funny to walk back in when I'm cold, and keep vaping while I watch them all shivering outside. I have not had anyone hassle me about it yet, besides some of the smellier juices, but most people say it is like having a scented candle or incense burning.

Excellent leelee.d! WTG! That was quite a test to say the least. I can't wait til you get your Triton! You'll NEVER look back! I often wonder how I could've smoked for 25 years, it's so gross. Keep it up, and we're here for ya! 58415congrats05.jpg

So very proud of you leelee.d!!! You went into a possible bad situation with temptation, turned it into a positive outcome AND educated your friends about Halo and the Triton. So thankful you shared this with us!! We are Halon and everyone is welcome!!

leelee, I don't know if I would have been so strong. Will and determination. It's all gotta be easier from here. And the cool part is, from whaat I'm taking from it, once you were there, it wasn't hard at all.

I don't what it is about you 'bama ladies, but you are all inspiring.

    Nicely done! Congrats!

Wait till they see your shiny new Triton!

Went to the cable company office the other day and it was packed - last day to switch equipment to digital (even Charter is ditching the analogs ;) ). Boy, it was really illuminating being able to pick the smokers out in the crowd with just a whiff. So glad that's not me any longer. I smelled sweet! :D
