I went
through the same thing...that self-imposed guilt because I'm "not supposed to" smoke anymore.
It happens. The yearning for a cigarette is a natural consequence of PERFECTING the smoking habit. Most of have YEARS of practice.
Guilt, however, is something extra. Guilt concerning ANYTHING is an unnecessary burden.
It's only purpose is to make you feel bad.
No need to feel bad about what you do. Just DO it. If you don't like what you do, try not to do it anymore.
I almost succumbed to guilt this past weekend. My brother-in-law was about to light a cigarette in my car.
I asked him NOT to.
I felt bad about it.
I got over it very quickly.
