My favorite, 1st XL diamond - purple with a purple led has died. I think that the switch got stuck open. I put fresh cart on the battery, sat it down for a minute while I went and got something to drink, and when I came back and picked it up, it was flaming hot. And I could hear the cart sizzling! I took it off, tried the cart on a different battery -toast. And my purple XL no longer does anything. Luckily for me I was able to quickly take advantage of the extended 40% sale and order a couple of new ones. Been vaping for 18 months, and that's the first time that has ever happened.

Yep....poor thing! A pretty one too.... Scary when that happens isn't it? It almost takes a second to realize that, yes, this is really happening....my battery is possessed and the carto is steaming and spitting out juice

This is classic of an auto, had it happen on my passthrough. I put on a freshly filled cart, knew it was a little over-saturated but tossed it on the pt anyways. Then answered the phone and sat the pt down on the desktop. As I am talking I see a little wisp of vapor, look down and the pt is gurgling spitting out juice and burnt juice vapor from the carto. The Carto was toast, I unplugged the pt, cleaned it, and it seems to work fine.

You are gonna love these new batts!

Sorry about the loss of your favorite purple battery, but is you are going to lose one, the day of a 40% off sale is a good time to do it.

Just thought I would ask, since both batts went belly up at about the same time. At the end of the day I just think this is an inherent issue with the auto design. Prefills or not, as long as there is a conduit for vapor that leads directly to the internals of the battery housing there is a possibility of shorting. The only real way to confirm this is to have a manual model and lucky enough for us there is one available now. Of course the comparison will be slighted a little considering the number of changes from the V1, V2 platforms and the new V3s.

Well, I certainly got my $worth with both of them. Just sad to see them die.

I love the new diamond tip and stealth autos - but I have had bad luck with them. Several of them just don't hit right fresh from the factory! :( I have tried to vape them hoping they will come around, but too much hassle to vape so I set them aside and use my old favorites. I have never had problems with any of my batts until these came along and I have many of them, but about a quarter of the ones I have bought just never worked right. They work kind of but when you take a hit, it is iffy. And the light goes off and on during the hit. You almost have to take 2 full hits to get one full hit of vape. Does that make sense? I have tried adjusting the post, but no joy. Anyone else have this problem? Or a quick fix for these?
