So I got 2 of the new Diamond Series batts. First off LOVE THEM! I got a green with green LED and a purple with purple LED. Here's my issue: The green one was working fine, but now will only work with some carts. If I try the cart that wasn't working on the green on the purple it works fine. It is happening with both prefilled and blank carts. I thought maybe it was certain color blanks. Nope, because even if I have a filled "green" blank of one flavor that doesn't work, another one of my "green" filled blanks with another flavor will work. I can't find a rhyme or reason for why this would be happening. I just got these batts on Saturday. EDIT: I've cleaned the carts that aren't working with alcohol wipes just to be sure no juice is lingering on them. Didn't help.
Also my purple batt that is working fine tends to stay on for a few seconds longer after I take a hit. It keeps sizzling even after I'm done vaping it and the light remains on. It is also a random issue. Doesn't happen every time, but enough that I'm questioning it. I never had that happen with any other batteries I've used.
I'm going to call V4L in the am, but was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.

So I found this post in another thread:
Glad to see everyone like the new batts. I have also found out something that I think will help a lot of people prevent the post problem. Since reading about so many problems with post connections I have been trying to find the primary cause. I think I may have. It appears that screwing the battery too far down in the charger will press the post down the center post to where the cartomizer will not make contact with the battery. usually it is a used cartomizer that will have the problem. The solution I have found to prevent this is simple. Screw the battery in the charger slowly. As soon as the LED flashes stop screwing. If the battery is loose you can go a tad more but I haven't found any to be loose. This may be the primary cause of the post issue. Also, if you have a post issue a little thumb tac works perfectly in raising the post on the battery.

Totally solved the problem. I just took a thumbtack and put it in the battery hole and wiggled it a bit and now my green battery is working again!!! YAY!! I hope that was what I was supposed to do with the thumbtack! Thanks Robert! Still curious about the purple one though....

LOL Clover~! I still have to keep doing the thumbtack thing wayyyyy to much though. Not good for a new batt!
Robert I sent you a PM! Thanks!

I have several batteries that I have to lift the center post a little after every single charge, for over a year. Yeah, you shouldn't have to, but it takes 2 seconds to do and it is part of my routine.

Hey Jamvector, can you explain how to raise the post with a thumb tack? Both of my new purple batts have this problem now. Cartos screw on, lights up, no vapor :(

Hmmmm.....that's not how I do it, but I guess that will work. I tried Leaford's method once but the holes on the sides under the threads are so small it didn't work.

So, if Leaford's method doesn't work for you Kimmy, you can try this:

Take a paper clip and straighten it out, place one end just inside the center post hole. Holding the battery steady gently apply a little downward pressure on the opposite end of the paper clip. This in turn will lift the end on the inside of the post hole, you will actually see it rise a little bit. Then repeat this same procedure on the opposite side of the post hole.

The posts are actually very pliable and indeed they do get pushed down by screwing them in too far into the recharger. As well, every 100 cartos or so there maybe a carto that has a longer post on it which pushes down the post on a battery. It only needs to push down the post +/- .25 mm to create a poor connection which results in the battery lighting up, but producing little to no vapor.

Hope this helps....
