I will receive my Volt on Friday. So I haven't officially started yet. But there's a lady that works at a store I always go to. When I told her I was going to the E-ciggs, she said "oh I tried that and it didn't work".

As I started reading more, I realized that people just don't know HOW. Or they buy those crappy ones you find in a certain 24 hour store in the U.S. and they give up before they even have a chance.

I printed out the beginner tutorial today and read it. I happened to stop by this store on the way home and thought why not give these instructions to her?

So I did and I was surprised at how receptive she was. She was really thankful. She said "I still wnat to smoke, I just want to do it in a better way!" I told her she wasn't the only one who had been through this and that I found that some education was needed to really make it work.

I recommended the volt to her and told her I'd be keeping in touch to help her. Haven't even started yet and I feel like a PV activist or something. Spreading the good news of vaping. Maybe it's a new calling! :p

If people want to vape, they will find us on their own. Otherwise it's "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". Or is that a camel?

She wanted to vape. And said it didn't work for her. She had bought a piece of crap. I tried to help her. She was grateful. I am not going to make anyone do anything. But I don't see any harm in informing people, making sure they know it's something that requires some learning to successfully quit. I think it's a great thing to do. People are trapped, they hate smoking. And the 24 hour store here in town is just ruining people's experiences. They need to know the truth.

I agree with everyone! It is true you cannot make someone want to give up the tobacco... but it is equally true that someone who does want to quit and has tried with ecigs but failed because of junk equipment / knowledge can be helped to succeed.

Good on 'yer 4am for spreading the word and good luck in your own endeavor

I don't agree. Too much info here and other sites. They can find their own way through the junk. Nope...it's just more excuses for them to continue smoking :)

Don't bother selling this stuff. Just worry about yourself and how long you actually stay with vaping. "If you build it, they will come".
