I'm sure this is a repeat, but why cartos?

3 weeks analog free TODAY! I've been using Viva Nova's and clearomizers and decided to try a carto tank yesterday. I watched a nice instruction video on how to fill it...let's just say I'm not very good at following instructions and not only did it take forever, it got messy and I got impatient and I hit it too soon, which brought about a lovely burning Q-tip taste/smell, and then I over compensated and flooded the darn thing! I know, I know, operator error 100%! I know I did EXACTLY everything wrong but I am still curious as to why so many people prefer carto tanks?

A HEARTY CONGRATS ON 3 WEEKS

Myself using the carto+ tank I rate it an 8/ 10. Using the Vivi Nova I rate it a 7/ 10. I find the carto gives a stronger hit and maybe that's because the element/ coil is longer thus giving more vapor. I prefer the Vivi because of the simplicity, ease of use and it's the least expensive.

Cartos are a standby for me. Good flavor, lots of vapor and consistent performance. Lots of people prefer the Vivi style clearos, but I have always gotten a plastic taste from them and way too many burnt hits. Bottom coils like the EVOD and Protank are becoming my new favorite, but it's still hard to beat a carto for consistency and ease of use.

I myself am a carto-tank junky. But it can get quite cumbersome punching cartos, priming, filling tanks, hoping it does leak or pop off your MOD, etc. Although the flavor is not quite as good IMO in a clearo type device, I find myself using ViVis, Kangers, eVODs, etc more and more because they don't leak, and they are so easy to clean, change flavors, and I find a ViVi coil lasts me longer than a carto in a tank so it's better on cost also.

The same thing happened to me. I was using clearomizers and tried a carto and got that burnt rubber taste, though I'm not sure what I did wrong. I watched several You Tube videos too....

Hmmm, well I am fairly new to vaping but I use a protank, EVOD, vivi Novas and in the last few weeks ventured into carto tanks with my BB. I like the cartos but honestly I can't say they are any better really than the other delivery systems I use. Could also be that my tatse buds have not come back to life yet either but I hope to one day see what all the buzz is about with the RBA's and see what a difference that is.
For now though I use several different clearos and of course the carto in my BB not so sure i prefer one over the other BUT I do go to the BB more BUT that is because I love it so not so much the carto that is in it.

I was worried about the learning curve on the cartos but it was really pretty easy. I also got the "plunger" to help prime the carto and it takes all the guessing out of it. Still trying to find the number of holes that work for me. Right now I use two holes at the bottom and one a little above midway. Not sure why the one above the center other than I saw someone else do it and for some reason it just works. :)

I use carto tanks when I'm at work, I can stick it in my pocket and not worry abot leaks. I had some trouble with filling Boge cartos, the filler is thick and I find the condom method works best. I just picked up some smoktek single coil amd dual coil cartos and I prefer them over the boges, they drip fill quickly and i get a cleaner taste from them. That's just me though, ymmv.

I despise cartos. They ALL taste like some kind of filler. All.

I get a better vape with cartos than clearos. Just personal preference. Taste seems muted to me.

For me,
atty>carto>tanks, clearos

She got that wrong after "Atty". For "Atty" it goes like:

Atty>carto>puke>drip for 2 years>tanks or clearos.

But YMMV.

Want the best taste, try dripping.

Yep knowing what I now know (which isn't much ) if I had to do it all over again rather than my first PV being a Mech Mod I would've gone for a bottom feeder.

Better flavor and vapor production for me and I use 100 percent VG or 10/90 PG/VG exclusively.

If I had to rate the various juice delivery systems in terms of flavor it would be the following from highest to lowest:

Dripping, RBAs, Carto-tanks, atomizers and cartos/ clearomizers.
