The question is, what took them so long? The fact that their debt is unsustainable has been evident for several years.

The path we're on here in the USA will lead us to a similar predicament in the not too distant future.

A preview of things to come, unfortunately... Neither party seems to care about reducing spending, in any meaningful way... Both trains seem to be heading in the same direction, just one looks like it wants to get there a little faster...

"No" it is ... Let's see what next ... you know it's becoming frustrating standing in line everyday at the ATM to withdraw 50 euros ... I think if we go back to bartering it would be easier ... I have many mods and atties i can trade ... Greek Crisis to a vaper: "I can make you dual coils for one frappe, throw a turkey sandwich for a parallel dual ... what do you say?? :2cool:"

I just realized paypal stopped working for us :(. We cannot do any kind of international payment anymore. I hope this gets solved before my dibi turn :D :(
That's being thorough... No way transferring funds to the outside hum?

They could have limited it but cutting it off completely is surprising.

I admit I don't know much about Greece economy but I assume it mainly operates in the 3rd sector aka services like here?

It's cutoff completely. I can't even buy an app on apple store anymore. It's the first time in history where a developed country has this kind of online restrictions.

Some companies even have online cloud storage outside which they pay for and now they don't know what to do.

You are not allowed to spend money outside the country by any means. My cards won't work in ATMs outside greece.

It is a new type of frustration I tell u.

Bringing money in?, well it's as easy as it gets :D

Well... At least you have money in the bank. Imagine those not having any and no access to short term credit right now. I feel for them :(

What about public servants and unemployed? Are they getting paid in time?

I'm not sure about that actually ... I know pensioners were getting a small amount. Not sure if they are getting money still ...

"There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." -- Ludwig von Mises (1949)
