Rossum used to have a signature like that. Breaking unreasonable laws.

72c tax per ml is ridiculous! On what basis? We are not here to replace the tax take from dying smokers!
^^

Portugal ought to ask for a similar debt restructuring as yer Greeks!

I type a great deal and post maybe 1/10th of it. You are very lucky. HRH less so.

The basis was the stupid ads those crap vape shops start putting up "10ml eliquid = 200 cigarettes, you'll save a ton!"

The government decided to tax eliquid so that it would cost the same as tobacco.

Why do you think the northern European countries won't agree to a true restructuring of Greece's debt? If they did that, Italy, Spain, and Portugal would soon demand the same, but on a combined total of $3.5 trillion, not the paltry $300 billion that Greece owes.

i'm suggesting they will have to if they wish to keep the Euro rolling. Selling it to electorates may be fascinating and difficult.

Even the UK has a 'cast iron Dave' guarantee of a referendum on European membership, forced when he was s-scared of UKIP.

Hmm, Wikipedia shows Portugal as having a GDP of $201 billion and a public debt of 129% of that, which would be more like $260 billion. But yes, Portugal is only a small stone the overall debt problem.

Who's going to pay US$ 72 tax plus cost of 100ml of nic?
Someone who hasn't planned ahead?

100ml of EU-legal 72mg/ml nic would make right around 1/2 liter of finished juice for me, which would last me close to 3 months.

I used to spend almost $85 a week on cigarettes, so I'd pay $72 for 100 ml of nic if I had to. But I won't, because I do plan ahead. :D

Well, I'm paying 67.29€ for 500ml of 72mg juice. I can make 2 litres of 18mg juice that will last me about a year and I'm piling up :D

In Portugal, those 500ml bottles would cost 367.29€ each.
