As the title says, I'm very curious, how many of you around actually vape NO-NICOTINE stuff? And I mean relatively long-term, you vape that and don't really need nicotine. Is it actually addictive, or rather, enjoyable to a certain extent in itself?
Also share a little background about yourself, aka have you been a smoker, or did you actually vape simply cause there's an alternative of no nicotine content?

I worked my way down to 0 nic slowly, started at 36, then 24, 16, 11, and finally 6. After about 2 weeks of 0 nic I found that although I still enjoyed vaping it wasn't satisfying the "need" so to speak of why I enjoyed analogs and was able to switch to a vaporizer.

I stuck with it for about another week and came to the realization that I was either going to stop vaping altogether or go back to nicotine. So I went back to my 11mg liquids.

Just to keep things in perspective though I started vaping as an alternative to analogs, I really did not plan on quitting analogs like I did, I was in it for cost savings and the "do anywhere" mentality, so quitting altogether is NOT on my plate :)

Hats off to you Merlin! Although I really enjoy vaping, I'm looking forward to the day that I'm not tied to it. I'm getting ready to move down from 18 to 12. Kinda scary lol. But I'd like to be at 6mg by fall maybe.

I decided early on that I wanted to get to 0 nicotine as fast as possible, so that's what I did. I started at 24mg of nicotine and worked my way to 0 within 2-3 months. I've been at 0 nicotine for about 5 months, give or take. I was a pack and half or more per day smoker for over 15 years.

I loved smoking. I didn't want to quit, but I knew I had to. Figured I may as well cut the nicotine out of the equation. I still find the hand to mouth ritual relaxing. There is little doubt that even at 0 nicotine, vaping is the only thing keeping me smoke free.
Some day I wouldn't mind quitting vaping, but I have no immediate goals to do so.

After being a pack a day smoker for decades, I bought an ecig 5 months ago together with some 18mg and 0mg juice. My plan was to start at 18mg and slowly dilute it down over time with the 0mg juice. Anyways, after vaping 18mg juice for several hours, it became clear that 18mg wasn't strong enough for me so I immediately went to 0mg and get this whole nicotine addiction over with once and for all. After vaping my head off for a few days (to satisfy my hand to mouth addiction and fool my brain into thinking I was smoking). the withdrawal symptoms vanished completely.

I must say that going to zero nicotine via vaping is far, far easier than just trying to quit smoking cold turkey. And the nice thing about zero nicotine vaping is that I can enjoy it when I want and yet leave home without my ecig and not think twice about it.

That's just my story. Everyone's is different and you also will find what works best for you. Good luck and good vaping.

I planned to use an ecig when smoking wasn't an option and within a couple of days I was only vaping. When I took a puff of a cigarette a week or so later the taste was horrible - disgusting really. I haven't smoked a real cigarette for nearly 5 months. Started with 24mg juice, quickly went to 18 then 12. Tried to drop to 6mg but that didn't work for me - freak out :( I'm addicted to nicotine. Went back to 12 mg and I'm as calm as a Golden Retreiver on Valium. I'm ok with consuming nic for now and enjoy vaping.

There was no quit date set as I'd done in the past trying to go cold turkey. Instead of looking at black lung pictures and reading death and success stories at whyquit.com I searched the net for ecig info and found ECF. I had read forums for various things but had not posted in them. I found a place that didn't judge me for smoking and with many hands reaching to help. Amazing.

2 packs a day smoker for 20 yrs. started vaping 3 1/2 months ago.
i alternated between 24 and 18 mg to start and a month into it switched to 16 mg. 4 weeks ago i went down to 12 and the past couple of weeks im using 6mg few days in a row. i still use an occasional 18 and 12 drop here and there but its mainly 6mg as of now.
it wouldnt bother me a bit if i stayed at 6/12/16 or 18 for however long....im just glad to be off regular ciggs.
a dual coil carto gives you a very nice TH, i found that using the c/d was a very easy way to switch down on nic level.

considering that I vape to get the nicotine for medical benefit, that would kind of defeat the purpose for me, lol. I vap 9-12 mg most of the time, no addiction whatsoever. in fact, I think I forgot to vape today. :( It's getting to be more and more of a chore lately. I wish there was some way to remember more easily.

I stopped smoking at the end of January. The doctor gave me an inhaler, and I think it was enough to scare me into quitting. I had been taking Chantix for a few months. On the Chantix, I had some really strange dreams! Let's just say they were X rated. LOL Found this forum on e-cigarettes, and decided to give vaping a try.
I really missed the smoking and didn't want to go back to analogs. I am vaping 0 mg nicotine. I think I am past the nicotine addiction. I like vaping with the exception that I almost have a smokers cough again. I switched to 100% vg, cause I thought I was allergic to the pg. I'm still coughing with the vg, but I don't have a rash on me anymore.
So after reading the forum, I decided to try to make my own e-liquid. I bought some LorAnn flavors and tried it. I made Tutti-Fruitti. It was one of the best liquids I have vaped so far. Didn't like my Butterscotch. Next I am going to try Peanut Butter Cups. I hope it doesn't make me hungry!!

From what I have read, I think the 0-6mg crowd is in the vast minority. There are some people who don't care about vaping feeling anything like smoking and for them, 0-6mg seems to work fine. Even with a better battery PV, I don't think you will get much throat hit if any with 0 nic. I went from 36 to 24 and now mostly 18. I know that I have much less need for nicotine, chemically, now than when I smoked. But I still want and like the "inhaled feel" of smoking which I don't think is possible without some level of nicotine.

I enjoy the 0 nic with added flavorings like chocolate and banana. I still have some 6 mg kicking around tho, just in case I ever feel the need for it.

I started smoking at around 14 yrs of age. Smoked up to a pack (give or take depending on what I was doing) a day for 35 yrs. Last year I had every intention of quitting by slowly weaning myself off cigs. I got down to where a pack would last 3 to 4 days, and that's where I stalled out. I've been vaping for almost 4 months now. I enjoyed smoking, and I enjoy vaping. Some day I might quit vaping, but that's off in the distant future somewhere, for now I'm enjoying it.

I had been a 2 pad smoker for 30 some years. I got rid of my nic addiction four months after I started vaping. For almost six months now I can vape 0-6 mg depending upon what I choose to do. Anything higher than 6 mg for more than a very few hits is a no-no for me as I know within a few minutes I've had too much nic and my body no longer likes having too much nic.

I am still addicted to the actions of vaping and I enjoy it. I choose to have some nic sometimes but I don't need it. If I needed to or wanted to I could easily only vape o mg all the time.

An x-smoker is always in danger of returning to smoking no matter how much we tell ourselves we won't and no matter how long it has been since we last smoked. As long as vaping helps prevent that from ever happening I'm perfectly happy to continue vaping. There may come the day when I choose to not ever use any nic or to give up vaping all together but only time will tell if that happens or not.

And by the way, depending upon the watts and the flavor of the juice and the pg/vg ratio I do get some TH with zero nic juice. Not like one gets with high nic juice, but it is there.
