I think the main reason you don't get the heated debate is that there are no toppers that are considered a "status symbol" with a devoted following. Lots of people like the kayfun/Russians but they are just not fanatical about it. Also there is nothing out there that people can definitively say "just get one now, you will eventually anyway".

Yes that's true; there's hardly any high end toppers;
there's the GP stuff, and the sophia; maybe if somebody puts out a cartotank with ego thread and airflow control and no chance of leak.....

Ehhh... your opinion maybe. I prefer my Protanks and Aerotanks over my KFL+ or my Pulse G. Don't just assume that because you don't like them that everyone else should feel the same. You just lost that bet.

Actually that just proves the op's core point. You have clearly stated that the vape quality you experience is determined by the topper you use.

I think you are spot on. I have 2 eVics and 5 spinners. I only use the eVics these days, the spinners are just for back ups. I really like the way the eVic works. My quest for the best vape is centered around the topper.

I have 2 ADV juices that I really like.

Knowing my PV is good and my 2 juices are good let's me evaluate each new topper in my quest for the perfect vape.

I didn't like the vv from a evic. Or a kick. I preferred straight mech with a fresh battery. Dont like clearos. Don't mind a fresh carto. As soon as I had a diver and a rda and a russian91 % and making my own coils. Then the vapor really started getting better. Still didn't like the kick or the evic. Then I got a dna20 regulated mod and it's great. I like using it at 4.2 volts- basically putting out the same power as a freshly charged battery.... why I didn't like vv from evic or a kick? I have no idea. But its not the same

its all abought the topper for me. i have many different battery styles and every top operates different one every one of them.
what might work well for me might not work for you..lol im not a cloud chaser as some are but i have found some toppers work good at keepin me smoke free..i dont need a vw device although i have one nor do i need 100watts..lol i know where to set my toppers on a vv device..i have a few provari because they are tough and consistant ..every time.. i rebuild 95% of my toppers and i get the performace i need..:2c:

I have been saying that the topper was the most important part for many months now. Glad to see others are also seeing the same thing.

I also agree with ya.... thats why the PT's, Evods are in the storage box as backups to the backups, Im luving my HC3.1 KFC, R91C, and RSST....
seems all the mass manufactured bottom coil units gurgle or go dry (even when the tank is filled)
the HC3.1KFC stays juicy until the tank is empty havent had a dry hit on it yet as long as there is juice in it
The R91C is fairly good unit too but tempermental
as far as the RSST... yup a definate learning curve on that one for sure. Got it to where I like it, works great especially with silica/cotton and a 2.8 ohm nano coil

I have much more "invested" in toppers than PV's by far.

I have tried, experimented with attys (306, 510, 801, 901, eGo), cartos in vertical coil, bottom coil, single coil, dual coil in all sizes and thread, clearos form CE-2 to Vivi, EVOD and everything between, a few RDA and RBA for good measure, built coils of low and high resistance for anything considered re-buildable, and modified most every topper I've used.

For PV's I have a couple VV, a VW, and a number of mech and unregulated mods. Nothing coming even close to fancy.

Changing the topper has much more of a difference than the battery holder....:2c:

I just discovered that the more pg in the mix the more likely you will flood. Example: I liked a particular 66pg/33vg so much I put it into my 30b and after less than a day it flooded and leaked. I took that out and put the 50/50 back in and no leaking/flooding. I never changed the atomizer btw so I know it wasn't that.
