Hey guys, I've been following the forums for a few weeks, but I just registered and this is my first post, so be nice! :)

Im having worries about my first purchase, and I wanted to know if anyone has any info or experiences with the site I bought from

a couple days ago I ordered an Ego-W starter kit and 50 mL of e-juice from https://unlimitedecigs.com/. i was given a tracking number when my order shipped, but when i look it up on the website it says "no tracking information for the shipment, or overdue tracking"

can anyone tell me more about this? worried that i fell victim of a scam while buying my first ecig...

this is the info i have on the package:

I've never used this site before so can't comment on there trustworthiness. They do ship from china so would probably take a week or more to get to you. The tracking number may take awhile to register (up to 24 to 48 hrs) if you've been waiting awhile already send them an e-mail to see whats up.

Hopefully everything works out for you.

Keep us posted on how it's going.

I don't know that company at all but I know in US shipping, a ship notice from a company doesn't necessarily mean the product is in the shipper's system yet. The shipping systems everybody uses these days, the tracking number is assigned when the postage is generated at the company shipping the product. But the number isn't attached to anything until the shipper receives and scans in the package. I get a lot of "no such package" if I hit the tracking site before the shipper actually has the package.

Me, I'd check tomorrow, see if it shows up. But wouldn't go more than maybe three days before I'd be barking at the company that took the money and filing a transaction dispute.

It's disputing a transaction with your credit card company or bank or however you made the payment. There's no fee for it. And in some cases, it's as simple as logging onto your account and clicking a "dispute" button or link. Different banks and different credit card companies are better (or worse) at looking into disputed transactions but a lot of companies will jump if a bank or Visa or MasterCard starts asking them questions. :)

But I see it showed up in the system. The delay isn't unusual with the systems being used these days. Companies print postage onsite and get tracking numbers issued automatically by the shipper's computers. All before the package goes anywhere. Shoot, you can do it home now. If you buy Priority or Express from the USPS, you'll get issued a tracking number when you buy the postage and the package hasn't left your house.

Yeah, I'd keep my eye on the shipment. Though, on the other hand, half of everything we buy these days is shipped from China now so they must be able to get most stuff here okay. :)

'Course it can take a while coming from China. When I had an iPad on order and got my notice it was on its way, I amused myself watching the tracking (I'm weird :) ). It's quite a trip. And you're on the opposite coast from where it'll enter the US too. The ports of LA and Long Beach are the big ones for Pacific Rim trade (used to live out there, those ports are unreal and getting busier by the second). At some point, there'll be a hand off to a carrier in the US. Then you can sign up for email updates. Probably can from that site in China but I looked at it and realized there was no way I'd ever figure it out!

(Heh, if I could send messages back in time to myself, the first one would be, "Learn Mandarin". Just did not see the rise of China in my crystal ball. :) )
