Basically what the title says. After 33 years of smoking, I went to the doctor on 12/04/13, and the doctor said that my lungs no longer sound like a smoker's lungs! I have only been vaping (with analogs thrown in) for 1 1/2 years. The last couple of months I have been vaping exclusively -- no analogs at all.

I did not have a chest x-ray done, but this sure sounds promising.

That's great news! I have only been vaping for 9 weeks now but can notice a difference in breathing and such already. It's a pretty good feeling. I do still get tempted to smoke now and then because I have friends that smoke and am around it a lot. I can say though that I haven't given in and with every week that passes it's a better and better feeling. Smoke free since Oct 12th! The longest I've gone in 13+ years!

My doc said the same thing, after only about 5 months of vaping. He said I sound like a non-smoker now. No crackles, wheezes- nothing. Clear.

I stopped doing the chest-clearing cough thing after about 24 hours of vaping. I've even forgotten what it was like to cough when I smoked because I don't do it anymore.

I remember what it's like to cough with a lungful of cigarette smoke.....painful!!!

The exam preceded an 8 day hospital stay. I had a hard time convincing them that I still needed nicotine in some form while I was there. Even though I told the doctor that I was vaping, and explained what that was -- he put non-smoker on my forms! The nurses were having a hard time figuring out why a non-smoker wanted a nicotine patch.
