So I'm currently using an ego type device with a pt2...from what I've read people have found better flavor in moving to a VV battery. Wondering if I should pick up a MVP or an SVD. Would this improve my flavor experience?

It may help a bit, but the biggest factor is your juice delivery. Clearos (i.e. your Pt2) are known for muting flavors.
So you could either find stronger flavored juices for your pt or switch to a dripping atomizer or carto tank setup.
There are other options, but coming from an ego setup I think those are the best ATM.

Maybe try a few tanks first and see what the experience is like taste wise - then once you find a keeper move up to the MVP. Or do what I do and just get new tanks AND batteries! (My bank account hates me!

FWIW - I think you will find minimal difference in protank flavor on VV/VW. I think you will find mega difference with something like a good cartotank alone and ultra difference with carto + VV/VW

Rip out the silica wick from that protank and put some cotton in.
That's the only thing that saved me from pitching mine off the bridge...

I don't noticed a lot of difference using a PT2 on any device. Even with cotton. It's still muted. Getting a bigger device will allow you to use a rebuildable atomizer which tend to give the best flavor.
I'll say that Getting an SVD or MVP will help you in your search, But also trying new flavors, PGVG ratios etc will also help your endeavor allot. I have the SVD and it offers more options to help find the sweet spot your looking for.

rebuilding a coil takes 10 minutes tops, and that's when learning. it's much less daunting than it initially sounds. a micro coil with a cotton wick will take you to flavor city.
The aspire et-mini is good on the ego for on the go use but it's polycarbonate so you need to be selective on juices. For Pyrex I highly recommend the aspire davide. Both of the ones I use are BDC. I found the dual could much more satisfying than the single. I'm with you, no muss, no fuss. I'm not rebuilding anything. I use an ego on a lanyard or my itazte vv v3 when I'm out and about and my MVP2 at home. I can get satisfaction from both but have found the vv vw to provide me with more happiness. Hope this helps
If you don't want to rebuild, then the only alternative I can think of is to use cartos. IBTanked tanks are reasonably priced for a great tank. There are cheaper tanks that aren't glass and I had two but got mad one day and threw them away. They tend to slip right off the carto and then the juice dumps. Not fun. Ikenvape cartos are pretty good if you happen to get a good batch of them, else Smok cartos are good too.

I had this happen today while at a b&m. sucks... I want to love carto tanks but they don't love me. bottom coil brand tanks suck imo. I think I have no choice but to go kayfun.
The atomizer is where one must look when searching for more flavor and vape. Yes the PT gives muted flavor, as do most changeable coil head atomizers. The best changeable out now, is the Aspire Nautilus BDC, probably the best one can get before going to a re-buildable atomizer. Once you go to a rba/rda, there is no turning back, never again will one be satisfied with a changeable. Then one can improve flavor and vape through changes to the build and perfecting your building skills. It's a progression though, one must walk the path to arrive.

I have probably spent enough on tanks to buy two original kayfuns.
