All of the above!!! Mary Kay, I saw your hanging tomatoes and you are giving me ideas. I've grown tomatoes for years but only started container-growing a couple of years ago, having run out of room in my perennial beds. I've thought about the hanging method but am not sure about where to put that either. I've got a few old shepherd's hooks in the garage that I may try to use for this.

Has anyone tried to grow bell peppers this way?

My tiny garden! I have aloe, two little palms, irish clover, tomatos, green peppers, pimento, lots of chive, both reg. and garlic flavored. Rosemary. sage and basil. Soon I will get my oregano, mints and thyme. I think this year I will add cilantro and parsey. I don't seem to do as well with those. Oh yeah..catnip..mosquitos hate it! I wonder if I can buy a bay plant? I will put the hot peppers in the backyard. last time I put the green and hot too close together and they cross polinated. I had very hot green peppers and sweet hot peppers!

Different angle look to the left top. Above .the spiky looking plant (Aloe) is my pineapple. It is the top of last years pineapple ..I want more, fresh is soooo good! AS soon as I am sure of the heat I will put it in the back yard where it will get full sunlight.

How many guys does it take to build a chain link gate? LOL That's Mike kneeling down and two of our and daughters friends helping. The gate and fence will go across the drive way so we can let the dog out without her slipping away to visit neighbors.

Wow...........people with shorts on!!!!! It's a distant memory for me.

I've never know anyone with a pineapple plant before. It must be so great to live in a place where you can grow so many different things. It's so limited here.

I love that bed........it looks good to me now and I'll bet it's really lush later on!

And I would kill for a bouganvillea, the way they just "drip" all over everything!

You have a beautiful garden! My entire backyard is like an English garden without any grass so it requires a lot of maintenance. First thing I have to do is clean all those nasty cigarette butts I threw out the Florida room window, and a huge mess from the wind storm a couple weeks ago, half of my willow tree is down :(. But I will be planting cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. Last year I had the worst pest attack my tomatoes, tobacco horn-worm, YUCK. Maybe they will disappear since I won't be smoking out there anymore, haha, jk.

Chris do you get the urge to run thru the house with a lionskin sarong? Love your porch!
Is the really tall plant a rubber plant? I can't seem to grow those.

if i had the right tarzan hanging around- heck yeah.

it is a rubber plant. turns out they light a lot of diffuse light. I have a few really nice monsteras (my favorite plant ever)

good luck with your tomatoes fudgey! i can't seem to grow fruits or veggies very well.

Fudgy..it's so easy I can do it! Just plug the pants in (upside down of course) and feed and water them. We put good dirt in first..the pricy stuff..one bag between 4 hanging plants then we filled the top with the cheap dirt. Halfway up we added the plant fertilizer..beads. and watered. After a week or so we added more dirt. Water daily.
