In that I own both a clone and an authentic Velocity, I can say that they both produce the same flavor and clouds with the same build. However, the build quality is another matter. My clone has already stripped out two grub nuts and has a tendency to cut the wire when tightening it down. The authentic doesn't. Also, the o-rings are a bit different between the two. The ones on the clone need to be primed with VG before they operate without too much resistance where the authentic is perfect from the get-go. I also had to clean the clone really well before using it. You could smell the machine oil on it. I just gave the authentic a quick rinse and it was good to go.

That being said, try to go out to the website and pick one up. The demand for the authentics is high enough that you can hardly get them. I was on the mailing list for two months waiting for them to be in stock. And when they do go online and available, they sell out very quickly. Clone manufacturers can produce a lot more units for a lot less because they DO cut corners. I'm sure their production facilities are a lot larger with more employees than what Dino has.

That's my point they're all clones of each other, so who really cares?
If someone can get a 150 dollar vape for 20 bucks why are we calling them out? In fact, that temple clone probably came off same factory who was mass-producing the authentic. It's all being produced in China anyway.

For the record Dino and Co. did a great job on the Velocity, if they won the award well deserved, no reason to hate on them, if it was a ....ty product then maybe but it's quite a good vape. The fact that it's being cloned in both the authentic and clone market is a testament to that!
Can't we all just vape what we want and get along

The Velocity won the award for the same reason Sigelei won best Regulated mod of 2015. Its mostly hype. I'm not saying its a bad atty but what happened here is the masses saw a product with a $115 price tag, bought a $15 knockoff and assume its the best thing on the planet because the authentic costs $115. Living in Detroit, I know a lot of machinists and die makers. A few of them chuckled when I showed them expensive atomizers like this. But regardless of the price, I still dont believe in a clone.

And even if you take something like the Temple. It might be made in china but don't know that for sure. What I do know though is the company Vaperz Cloud who designed it are out of Virgina. They also designed the Buddah and the Glacier. So even if they are outsourcing. You are still supporting an America company.

Same goes for the Alliance which is a collaboration between Fogwind and Vaporgate. You can bet that all three of these companies have played their part for our advocacy. Now what do you think Tobeco has done for us besides take money away from all of these companies?

I suppose that makes sense for people who make less than 2$ a minute (I don't know what peasants get paid these days). ;)

I buy authentics because I want companys like Svoemesto, Dicodes and E-Phoenix to keep making new things.

I don't mind that there is a "the peoples" version of the things I have. Whatever keeps the riffraff happy. :D

Funny.....in the post before this one, you say "can't we all vape what we want and get along?" Then you say someone's an idiot for paying $120 for an Atty.
I kind of understand though. That guy makes me want to yell "idiot" quite often.
But $120 for a quality authentic rda? Nothing wrong with that.
