That's how I've approached purchasing PG and VG. If it is labeled "USP", I'm good with it. I understand I am trusting a "label", but it's all I've got and so far I am not aware of any negative consequences. Considering all the toxins I jettisoned by quitting cigarettes, if there is a itsy bitsy (like that scientific jargon??) amount of something jive (another scientific term) in the PG or VG, it pales in comparison to the 3000+ toxins I used to inhale. Hope this line of thinking makes sense......
I just go by what tastes best. I've also had muscle spasm's from cheaper pg. I never had problems like that in my 25 years of smoking. Some of this USP pg out there is just plain nasty !

This is getting really spooky. I've been using PG and VG from Essential Depot, but now am wondering if I made a wise decision. I did check the COA for their PG and it showed an assay value us 99.91% (at least the lot they had assayed). How do I know for sure who or what info to trust? I don't want to start second guessing every buying decision, but still that little bit of worry is coming in.

Just a thought here that if a supplier doesn't know or can't supply this data then we don't have to purchase it. We can give our business to those who do.

And since most of us will be inhaling this for many more years I think it is valid to look for the purest ingredients.

Vaporshots has the analysis of their VG, PG and nicotine online.

They are all USP grade. Here's for VG:
https://www.vaporshots.com/Articles.asp?ID=255

At the bottom it says:

This product is excipient grade and not intended to be used as an active pharmaceutical
ingredient or for specialist applications, such as parenteral, ocular, inhalation, open wound use, or
applications that require sterile and/or pyrogen-free excipients.

This is inline with that posting in ECF about the only VG suitable for inhalation is the synthetic Glycerin. The product pruity seems to be very good but still not enough to be inhaled. Since vaporshots is posting this report, it's probably one of the better ones out there! Who knows what some vendors are selling....People are talking about getting PG from tractor supply companies!

i stopped at tractor supply and they did have pg there and it was labeled propylene glycol ,USP ingrediants say 100% pg

From what I understand, it can be labeled as USP but there might different purity levels. 100% sounds too good to be true though. I'm curious what the main applications for PG are at the tractor supply store? Machinery, additive for animal feed maybe? This is just a speculation on my part but I don't think they'd carry the higher purity PGs.

Does any body here speak Polish?
Here's Inawera's certificate for it's PG, but as it's in Polish I can't make head nor tale of it......

I speak Polish! (only beer related words though:D)

Since I can't read or write it, I'm no help with that link.:)

If there is anybody on this Forum who can, I'd bet they could be found here:

Just tried the Inawera Old Havana and it's the best and most realistic cigar flavor, of it's kind, I've had to date. I've tried a couple of other brands and this one hits all complex angles just right! This on day one of mixing! Immediately mixed a 30ml bottle for steeping. Can't wait to sample after a couple of weeks. Highly recommended! And quickly, since not Inawera, for the cigar lovers I'm loving Cohiba by Flavors Express. Best Cohiba yet!

How on earth did ya get it to taste like a cigar? If I let a old Cuban guy try my mix, he would surely cuss me out in Spanish ! :D
