Thanks Kurt, I've got some S'Camel and Tab Camel ready so I can try a little blending some sample ratios with those to start.

Chinook had posted this recipe earlier:

7.3% Total
S'Camel 12
VA TA 8
Dark tobacco 6
L.S.D. 12
DNB 6

After a 4 hour hot water bath it had a flavor ring so I was thinking 7.3% total was too much, I left that 1 to steep and made a lower % batch down to 4.3%, after 1 week the lower % batch was too weak and Chinooks recipe stood out, it's a good vape, analog like with hints of goodness.

I like what the L.S.D. brings to the table when mixed into the Tab Camel. I had about 5ml in a dripper bottle, it had been mixed at the upper end of the suggested drops per, with two drops DNB per 5ml. I added 1ml of the well steeped L.S.D. to this and it added a nice amount or richness/ deeper tone to the flavor. I'm going to keep a small bottle of this and the Dark tobacco on hand for blending into my tobacco flavors.

Yep, I really like the DNB as well, seems to enhance the throat hit a bit along with some ashiness.

The Dark Tobacco in it kind of messed this up for me I was getting too much mint/menthol notes for me.

I don't get that with mine, maybe yours was mis-labled or contaminated somehow?

Kurt

Maybe you remember, a while ago Jimi posted pictures of his bottle of Dark Tobacco. And his was clear like water. Mine has a yellow tint to it. Drew at BCV checked some of his stock bottles and they were all the same like mine -- none clear like Jimi's. We kind of concluded that INW changed the formulation.

 -My Dark Tobacco is clear. It is rebottled from VT and was purchased maybe 4 months ago. Has absolutely no mint/menthol notes; just tobacco goodness with no ashy notes. What gives?

Yeah, mine and some others' are from either a screwed up batch or they changed formulation. Here you can see what I have and Jimi posted :

Thanks Jimi. No mint/menthol, just light cigarette right?

Here's the color of mine... The top one is Dark Tobacco, bottom one S'Camel. S'Camel looks like water, but the Dark Tobacco has yellowish tint to it.

I wonder if I got some kind of lime+lemon+mint juice in the Dark Tobacco bottle... I wonder if there is an INW lime+lemon+mint kind of juice?
Yeah man. Straight up tobacco. My guess is that some other compounds contaminated the Dark Tobacco from the equipment.

My Am4a and S'camel with VA TA and Cuban TA seems to get weaker after 2-3 weeks! I'm using a base of 46/46/8 PG/VG/DW. Total flavoring around 4%...I'm suspecting the DW... Anyone else using ~8% DW?

I have found this also, I think it's not actually getting weaker but the flavors are melding together so you don't get the pronounced note off each one, however after a 4 hour hot water bath and 4-7 day steep if I find that the mix seems weak I increase the flavors by 1-2 drops/10ml.

What nic base are you using ?

I'm using VapersTek Nic around 9-10 mg. My latest batch is 46/46/8 PG/VG/DW. Maybe the TAs also have something to do with. I'm not sure but it's almost like reverse steeping. I made a batch of S'Camel with 18 drops, just by itself, let's see how that'll develop.

Mine tastes so dilute (to me), it looks like I need to go for 50-100% more...

Yeah I don't think I'm getting Vaper's Tongue. I mean if I vape a lot, I sometimes notice the taste buds getting tired. But with these juices, even first vape of the day tastes on the dim side.

I just vaped (18 drops in 10 mL) S'Camel steeped 3-4 days in a well steeped base. I can taste this one pretty good. Let's see how it'll change over time. I added about 2% FA Hazelnut in the 10 mL bottle after I filled my tank to make it more interesting :).

Maybe I just need to crank up my percentages in this base...
