Incessant Sore throat. Juice problem?

I've quit smoking for quite a while and I've been vaping idk, for total of about couple of months. And I've been having soar/itchy throat for the past few weeks and I'm wondering if it's because of the juices I brought? I bought many but these days I'm just vaping pure PG to stay on comfortable. Is this normal or is the juices? Or allergies?

So are you vaping just pure PG or did you mean pg-only juices?

Could be sinuses, start of a cold, or the flavoring in a juice. Most people that have a reaction, is to pg. Do you diy, could be your supplies. PG can increase your throat being sore, I'd try unflavored VG if you're worried.

I agree with 93gc40, what are you worried about. Do you drip and if so did you get a bad dry hit?

same thing happened to me with out switching vg/pg levels...

vaped for just about a year on 50/50 & 60/40 (Vg/Pg) and all of a sudden as if someone flipped a switch, I could not take to PG. Sore throat, tight chest, hack up a lung every time I took a normal to long hit. Changed atty, changed tank, changed flavor... nothing worked...

I actually quit vaping for about 6 months because of it... When I started up again, the same issues happened. it was not until I pushed the Vg up to 80% did I get relief from the describe issues above. Now, I try to keep the VG up to 90% if possible and have no issues. In fact, now I subohm and produce a ton more cloud. If I dropped the Vg level back to 60% on the setup I have now, I am certain I would break my back coughing so hard... lol

my advise... go high Vg and add flavor shoot as needed... change tanks/set up to allow for the thicker juice if needed...

Have you tried a different juice from a different vendor all together? I had one vendor which I won't name but all their juices had the same scratchy hard throat hit. I'd switch to another juice from another vendor same strength and my problem was gone. I contacted them a few months back and apparently I wasn't the only one who said so, something to do with the nicotine base they were using.

But yeah best advice I can give you, try a different vendor or a different nicotine strength... if that doesn't sort it out try playing with your PG/VG ratios until you find something you like and isn't unpleasant to vape. I do have to agree with some of the posters here though pure PG is not a pleasent vape what so ever, but we're all individuals and thus all like different things so go ahead and experiment.

PG and VG juices. But these days since I'm a little worried I just switched to pure PG.

well can you tell us more about the juices and your setup?

high nicotine can be hard on the throat; and high wattage can be hard on the throat.

burnt hits / dry hits are definitely hard on the throat.

also, when you stop smoking and start vaping instead, there are some symptoms that go with that; coughing alot is the first one that comes to mind because i coughed a lot the first few weeks.

I get the sore and scratchy throat when I switch liquids if I stick with the same flavor for multiple days, but it's only for the morning following the liquid change.... But I've noticed I vape more later at night after changing a flavor than I do throughout the day when using the same flavor for multiple days....
