I think because of the inconsistency ppl go from newbie to not newbie FAST
Now, see, I wasn't going to rat you out with your deep-seated hatefulness and need to make fun of semi-blind old people but since you did it yourself. . .

Offer appreciated and if you SWEAR I'm not going to kill myself or burn down my house I'm happy to take the many recommendations to try a carto again. I kept mine in my little vape container as a reminder that I'm a doofus but.. I'll try.
Hey, I'm old and blind too. I just recently had to start wearing reading glasses when I sew. Well, I should have been using them for much longer if guess. I got some, and put them on and was all like, "whoa! Things have details and stuff..."
I'm 97.6% sure that you won't kill yourself or burn down the house. You will probably get a burnt vape here and there and a ruined carto or 7. The main trick with carto tanks in my experience, is that you've got to be sure the cartos are good and soaked. I use the condom fill method and I fill up about 10 at a time. That way the first ones can be soaking while I work my way down the line. I fill them (condom style) up till they have juice standing on the top. Let that soak in, and then fill the condom and squish the carto back into the juice again. When I'm sure the filler can't soak up anymore I blow them out, wipe them off with a tissue, and then let them sit until the next time I need a carto change (I fill cartos when I'm down to about two left, so that the newly filled ones have a chance to sit around). Before I put them in the tank I blow them out again, because juice seems to leak into the inner tube as they sit around for a few days or a week. Doing it this way has been very consistent for me. Other people have methods that work for them.
It probably took me about 4 months to both decide that carto tanks are my favorite and how to fill them right almost all the time. Before that I went through a lot of trial and error and did a bunch of swearing and throwing things across the room.
I hate the gurgle. I like the crackle, but not the gurgle.

All i can add is gurgle/crackle/pop
The pop is accompanied with the spitting of hot juice.
For the OP keep trying everything and you will find what works the best for your vaping style.
Way to not tell the newbies how to *avoid* the popping accompanied by hot juice. ; -)
Don't get the carto or atty over saturated/flooded is the solution that works for me, most of the time. ymmv
